They just started selling Long A's at my local Wal-Mart and I picked up a few of 'em. They had Smithwick's as well... Very nice change since they haven't updated the fishing section in a long time! Lost my Pointer already. :'( :'( :'(

I just tried out my first Lucky Craft lure... Pointer 100 suspending model... Was out for about an hour and a half and got 3 nice fish on it! Runs beautiful and I think I'm already in love with LC. Gimme about 2 more nice fish and it'll be worth the price tag! ;D

Heh.... Sorry all y'all up north... Caught these two ~4lb'ers this morning! It was so friggin' hot out, my shirt was covered in sweat... I thought it was supposed to be winter time? :-? Got this one on a watermelon/black flake Senko: And got this one to hit a baby bass Super Fluke, with a small split shot attached about 4" up the line, that I was jerking like a madman: The top one was a tad bigger... Maybe a 1/4 of a pound bigger.

Condolences to the families as well... I'm getting a little boat in the next few weeks and I won't be taking it out until I have a PFD... Even though my friends will make fun of it, I don't care. Too many stories I've heard about accidents like this. :'(

Best Christmas ever! The girlfriend's getting me a small boat within the next 2 weeks! (I bought her a Wii!) Four separate gift cards to BPS totaling $125!! A crystal sculpture of a sailboat (which I drunkenly broke already last night and plan to replace) :'( And my sister drew and framed a giant photo of all of us three kids from when we were little (I was wearing an Alf shirt! ;D) with nothing but pencils! It looks friggin' amazing and I never knew she could draw that good! I cannot complain one bit. Definitely the best ever! Life is good! ;)

Can't go wrong with Pioneer. I've installed many, many car stereos. The CD deck sounds good, but Jensen is normally cheap garbage. BUCKEYEone is right. Try it out first and see how it sounds. Pioneer makes good quality car audio products.

The red Okeechobee Fats one is GREAT especially if you're just a shore fisherman. Couple of my friends were jealous that I got it for $10 from Wal-Mart. The bigger ones would definitely be better if you have a boat and somewhere to store them. The red one comes with 2 boxes which hold a good amount of lures and tackle, plus there's a bunch of space for bags of plastics, etc.

Okay, thanks for your input guys! I think that pool noodle idea might work somewhat until I can afford a trailer... I'll be on the lookout for some trailer hitches for my car. Good thing I've got plenty of time.

I know this might be a long-shot but I figured I'd ask anyways... The girlfriends buying me one of those little 8-9' Pond Prowlers or the Bass Raider for Christmas! I haven't decided which one yet, though. Anyways, I'm trying to find an easy way to transport it if I wanna go a little farther away from my neighborhood lake. I drive a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo... Options I've seen so far would be to get a cheap small trailer and get a hitch, or to install some roof racks. Both of these are rather expensive (over $150, for my car at least) and I'm looking to do it on the cheap since I probably won't need to too often. My good friend has a Dodge Ram, so it's not going to be too much of a problem throwing it in there and strapping it in, but I'd like to know in case I wanna go out myself. Can anyone suggest anything?? Thanks in advance!

Sweet!! I just found out my girlfriend is gonna buy me one of these for Christmas! I told her to get me the 9 footer, since the 8 looks a little tiny bit cramped... Is it big enough for ya?? Would a 30lb thrust TM be enough to push around two ~190 lb dudes on it decently? Or would I wanna go with like a 45 or so? I also read about people using the front mount of the boat for better control from the trolling motor... Any input from anyone on this?
