Thats funny I also have a set of Strike King sunglasses from Wal mart for that purpose. -gk Same here! I just got a new pair of Ray-Bans but I still use my $15 Strike King's from wal-mart for fishing! I just don't trust myself wearing a pair of $100+ sunglasses when I'm out on the boat.

Is the LC Live Pointer a good lure? I'm not even sure it's a jerkbait, but figured I'd ask here. Saw a couple of 'em on sale, didn't know what to think of them...

3/8 oz black on black Cavitron is the only buzzbait you need around this neck of the woods!

Excellent worm! I have yet to use the 7" but the 10" has put numerous nice fish in the boat!! I T-rig it with a screw-in tungsten weight and a 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG. That worm just doesn't sit still!

The wind was definitely the worst part. The lake was gettin' a lil rough and all we had was a 30lb TM! (part of the reason we only went for an hour or so) LOL That's how we roll in Florida. ;D

Anyone use these guys?? Picked up a couple of 'em in MS American Shad, and Aurora Gold from the local Gander Mtn. for 25% off! What kinda situations do you throw them in? Also, anyone else near the WPB Gander Mtn, they had a couple of Pointer 100SP's and a few Live Pointers I believe they were called, as well as a couple of Pointer 78SP's all with 25% off!

Going without power for a few days is always fun! Take it from a FL guy that's been through a few hurricanes... Nothin' like grilling everything in your freezer including frozen pizzas, finding a store thats still open trying to sell off the last of their beer, and havin' a good ol' block party! ;D ;D But still, glad to hear you got your power back on! I think the longest I've gone was like 6 days. Hopefully everyone will be back up soon! Edit: Yeah, it probably sucks for you guys that live in cold weather... :-/

Had a pretty nice little outing on a friend's john boat today! Only got out for a little over an hour. Within the first 20 minutes, my friend goes: Got one! As he's reeling his in, I feel my lure get struck! Got mine in before his, he caught a hog! Mine went a little over 3 lbs, with his hitting 5 right on the dot! My catch, before he got his to the boat: Both of em: My buddy there just had ACL surgery, so I had to help him a little to land that guy! Had a feeling the fishin' would be pretty good today! Tight lines!
