Gander Mountain carries them. I had a 7' Medium spinning 1 piece for a little while. The reel seats on these things suck, the cork started splitting on it. If it wasn't for that though, I'd say they're a pretty good rod for the price. It was a pretty sensitive rod for $30!

IMO Sufix Siege is better than Elite. I get less memory with it and it seems just as strong. Can't go wrong with the XL, but I'd say try some Siege.

Maybe move the battery to the front and run wires to the TM in the back? Should help a little bit with weight distribution.

LOL I've only used the Foxy Shad and Foxy Mama in the XR50 and XRK50 and the Foxy Mama in the XRK75. The paint on them is pretty durable considering the amount of fish I've caught on 'em. I bought like 5 of the Foxy Shad XR50's, but I'm still on my first. It's pretty beat up, but it's still catching fish! Can't go wrong. Make sure you look at them pretty well before you buy 'em though. I had one with some loose split rings or something that made me lose a double hookup with 2 three pounders!

Man, I thought a small lake in a friend of mine's neighborhood had nothing but dinks in it. Somehow I managed to fight that 5 pounder to the shore on my UL! Probably the best fight I've ever had with a bass! 8-)
