  1. Sweet. Do you think that the diamond plate platform will be loud ? Metal on metal tends to transfer vibration fairly well. A-Jay

The fortunate aspect in all of this is that neither the Court of Public Opinion nor the crazy Media has any actual bearing on how well any team actually performs on the playing field, unless the players let it. As a Patriots fan, I'm very glad they did not. And Malcolm Butler is My Hero . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7rPIg7ZNQ8 A-Jay
  3. Patience is not something that anyone "Has"; it's something that a person chooses to exercise or not. Patience as it relates to bass fish is another way of putting time in and doing whatever is required to experience success. It's also quite often the difference between the anglers that will catch the bigger bass and the ones that do not. A-Jay
  4. Excellent. A-Jay
  5. Check out the Berkley Havoc Bobby Lane's Grass Pig Swimbait ~ Decent quality & Colors, Very Reasonably Priced & Catches fish A-Jay
  6. Vessel operators are responsible for their wake & any damage it causes - even in Indiana ~ http://www.boat-ed.com/abc/abc_specific_images/pdfs/in_law.pdf Life Jackets not worn don't perform well. A-Jay
  7. It's often challenging to successfully achieve a solid hook up using 4 lb line and anyTexas rigged plastic - regardless of the hook used. The only presentations I feel confident recommending when using 4 lb line would have to involve a small open hook. Nosed hooked plastics on a drop shot are a standard. Going up to 6 lb line will in my mind, open up your options a bit more. A-Jay
  8. Nice job Jeff and Congratulation on the New Personal Best Smallie ~ She's a real beauty and that's a Killer Shot of you both. Of course honorable mention goes out for the PB walleye as well. Sounds like a great time & I'm hoping to get down there myself in a week or two. A-Jay
  9. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  10. Really Good Times Right There ~ Thank you for sharing them. Those Great Big Smiles say it All. Congrats. btw - thanks for having & using a scale. If I had to "guess the weights" I'm pretty sure my brain would blow up . . . A-Jay
  11. Stop fishing shallow - forget those fish. Especially since you didn't use any words like "Big" or "Huge" when you described them. Instead concentrate your efforts away from the bank. Try doing both sides of points and as close to the ends as you can reach. Look for drops and places where there is a change in the type of cover. The first break off the bank that's in front of or close to some cover often holds a few as well. And if you can swing it - night ops often changes the game you're playing quite a bit - and usually in your favor. Good Luck. A-Jay
  12. Perch generally prefer smaller presentations - live bait is especially effective. A drop shot, jerk baits & all but the smallest of crank baits are usually too large for Perch. Perch can often be convinced to bite regardless of the water temp, finding them is sometimes more than half the battle. btw - targeting an out of season species is illegal in this country. A-Jay
  13. Can't speak for what's happening in WI now and especially not in two weeks, but here both the smallmouth & largemouth are doing what they do pre-spawn in early May. Smallies are thinking about getting busy but are still chasing & eating aggressively. And the largemouth are still just chewing. So although the depth & speed changes a bit here & there, it's all about horizontal presentations for me. A-Jay
  14. I'm in Northern MI. This season's spawn seems to be "normal" as far as timing & water temps are concerned. And I've found the biggest fish are often the first ones up & moving. So it has paid off to fish the when & where to intercept them. A-Jay
  15. The Columbia PFG (Performance Fishing Gear) Shirts & Pants are decent as is their Blood & Guts Line of gear. A-Jay
  16. While I certainly understand you're frame of mind here, I will tell you that correct information to a bass fishing question does not really have an expiration date. Correct information was right yesterday, today and will most likely be Correct & Relative tomorrow as well. A-Jay
  17. Same here Chris ~ The design of the uni-to-uni knot just makes sense to me which does breed confidence in it as well. I can tie it easily, Never, ever had one fail while fighting a fish and that's all that matters to me. I also like that I can adjust the number of turns with either the mono & / or the braid, depending on size, which helps with the knot's over all size. The larger sizes usually get a turn or two less while the smaller size lines / braids may get a few more. A-Jay
