Reel To Go With Crankin Stick
The 3 & 5 series baits weigh 1/4 & 1/2 oz respectively, which in my mind plants them squarely into the casting gear category. Whipping an 1/8 ounce nothing bait on revolving spool tackle would never feel more comfortable than the easy of spinning gear for me. A-Jay

Reel To Go With Crankin Stick
I'd like to ask which 1/8 to 5/16 ounce lures & techniques are you planning to use a cranking stick for ? Crank baits that size are generally considered Panfish baits. When throwing such light baits, a spinning outfit would really be whole lot more effective. A-Jay

They're Getting Better
Cool ~ I figured you were on top of it. Wanted to pass that along just in case. It really is a small item but as you said, it's nice not having to worry about battery life. A-Jay

They're Getting Better
Very Nice Blue ~ I'm enjoying my Virb as well and do agree there is a learning curve - but I'm getting there. Having the camera rolling all the time adds a fun & interesting layer to the whole day. btw - if your boat has an accessories (cigarette lighter type) plug outlet some where, the 12 Volt Vehicle Power Cable for the Virb, all but eliminates concern regarding battery life for your camera. The item is listed as a charger - but it powers the unit for filming perfectly. I use one and with a 64 size card I can easily get a whole days fishing in without changing out ANYTHING - very nice. Deflate-Gate!
I can be honest enough to admit that as a sports fan (a rapid one at that) I do sit in at least half of that seat as well. But with regards to both the past & current track records of the participants, the potential for let down makes me waiver. If sports do mimic real life, then this situation may be an example of why. Perhaps it like being at the theater as a young boy during a Horror film - I'll just keep telling myself "It's only a Movie". I've tried covering my eyes and waiting for it to be over - it just never is . . . . A-Jay

Deflate-Gate!
As a fan I want to blindly root for my team with little regard for anything else but the game. I learned right from wrong, good from bad, integrity, respect commitment & devotion from people I know during Real Life. None of that can be expected from people Playing A Game. A-Jay

Deflate-Gate!
First Off - as a Pats fan - this is much easier to deal with having won another title - Secondly – Most of what is written below came from Anno Catuli’s article about MLB. But after by replacing “MLB’ with “NFL” in the text, I believe this to have value. If the NFL really cared about the “integrity of the game”, they would kick everyone who ever cheated, took drugs, murdered people, used substances that are now banned (regardless of if they were legal at the time) or not out of the HOF. If the NFL really cared about the “integrity of the game” as many claim, they would actually take a very strict policy on the steroid issue. I do not care where you stand on whether or not steroids help, or should be banned, if the NFL really wanted to “clean up the game” they would start by issuing a one and done PED drug testing policy. You get caught once, you are done. The time has come to stop throwing around the empty phrase “integrity of the game” because there is no “integrity of the game”. All teams, players, owners care about is money; cold hard cash is what makes these decisions. Not integrity. This is not really about The New England Patriots, The Owner, Coach or the QB at all, but that empty phrase “integrity of the game”. The Patriots are just a convenient launching pad for people to use & pound the “integrity of the game” line. The NFL has lacked integrity since d**n near the beginning, and the NFL Hall of Fame is loaded with people who lack credibility. In my humble opinion, the NFL has two options. Put up, or shut up. Either stop talking about how much you supposedly care about the “integrity of the game” or actually do something that proves that you care. A-Jay

Deflate-Gate!
:respect-059: :respect-059: POST OF THE DAY ~ YOU WIN THE INTERNET TODAY ! FLYFISHER - THIS LINK IS FOR YOU - (I only wish I had posted it.) Ex-Eagles and retired Pro Bowl quarterback Jeff Blake confessed in an interview that removing air from footballs was common when he played in the NFL from 1992-2005. "I'm just going to let the cat of the bag, every team does it, every game, it has been since I played," the ex-Eagles QB said Wednesday in a radio interview on the "Midday 180" show on Nashville's 104.5 The Zone. "Cause when you take the balls out of the bag, they are rock hard. And you can't feel the ball as well. It's too hard. "Everybody puts the pin in and takes just enough air out of the ball that you can feel it a little better. But it's not the point to where it's flat. So I don't know what the big deal is. It's not something that's not been done for 20 years." Blake says that he'd order ball boys to let air out of his footballs just before the start of games during his entire NFL career, which included time with the Eagles in 2004. A-Jay

Boat Capsizes/no Life Jackets On/death/how?
No Kill Switch worn, No seat belt or body restraint of any kind & No Helmet - and all at over 100 MPH on the water. Dead Man Motor Boating. (And in my very best Jeff Foxworthy voice) If you put 900 HP on your Pontoon Boat, you might be a Redneck. A-Jay
