  3. As long as their last game is a WIN ~ I'm good. A-Jay
  4. I really Love Chunking & Winding ~ Long bombing or target casting. Looking for the right depth, action, speed and angle all make me happy and keep me focused. So fishing most any moving bait suits me just fine - especially if it's getting clobbered on a regular basis. A-Jay
  5. Helps if you remove the spool from the casting reel and allow the line to feed off the end of the spool (instead of the front). Also try to have the line coming off the casting reel spool in the same direction that the spinning reel is directing the line onto it's spool. This will reduce line twist. However you can forget all this and put the line on any way you want IF you run it all off behind the boat for a few minutes and let it all untwist before you fish with it. Make sure there's nothing ties to the end of your line - use just the line along. A-Jay
  6. Hello Rick and Welcome to BR ~ You're really going to like it here. A-Jay
  7. Coming onto a public forum to discuss sensitive personal matters is often a little risky. Differences of opinion can and do happen. I'm out. A-Jay
  8. "See what Happens ?" Nothing just happens. Knowingly allowing your daughter to come into contact with a situation that is detrimental to her health, over & over & over again ~ ? ? ? There's an official term for that. Are you hoping that your "Friends" completely alter there own life style to suit yours ? Not going to happen. Cut the cord man. A-Jay
  9. C'mon man. You're not helping yourself look any better here. OK how about this - every time your daughter becomes infested - have your wife kick you in the stones. That should help you decide. A-Jay
  10. I believe you know what you have to do. The right choice is rarely the easy one. Perhaps you should walk a mile - next time your daughter becomes infested, ensure you get them too. Continue this situation repeatedly until you are able to come to a decision. A-Jay
  11. Every job has it share of challenges, especially in the personnel department. The above certainly sounds like it may be more trouble than it's worth. The "My boss is a Loser" situation rarely gets better with extra pay or more time on the job. You'll still be dealing with the crazies above & below you and if they advance you, you'll be responsible for some of them. Good Luck with that. So I guess you'll have to ask yourself, Can money buy happiness & job satisfaction ? Your answer may provide you some direction. A-Jay
  12. I'd say "Value Over Replacement" comes into play here. Unless your employer knows that you can walk away and do better, a raise before your first full year may be a hard sell. Additionally, unless you Know that you are being grossly Under paid & you know you can do better somewhere else, I'd wait. Finally, sounds like they trained you for this job, that's definitely worth something to them and you. "I've never been late or missed a day for anything other then military obligations to the guard". ~ This is not Superior / Extra performance worthy of higher pay - this is called being reliable. So although it's something to take pride in as a man, that's about where it ends most of the time. Slow your roll. Let it play out a bit. A-Jay

  14. An already Inebriated man goes into a bar, walks up to the bartender and orders an Irish Car Bomb. The bartender looks down at the man's pants and sees that there is a steering wheel assembly sticking out of his zipper. The bartender says to the man "Hey Bud, there's a steering wheel hanging out of your pants." To which the stiff replies "I know, and it's driving me Nuts." Thanks - I'll be here all week - try the veal . . . . . . . . . . . A-Jay
  15. Thank you for adding that link. A-Jay

  19. Not sure about an on line location. However, judging by the size of the "Posse" here on BR, I'm willing to bet there's a member or two who probably have exactly what your looking for in their own collection. A-Jay
  20. When I need a stout spinnerbait, especially fishing south of the border, my go to job is the Strike King Hack Attack Heavy Cover Spinnerbait. I will admit to "customizing" it a bit by changing the skirt & blade configurations, even shortening the wire length a little when the need arises. However the basic frame and Hook are durable and can usually withstand a good number of fish before it's too bent up to use. A-Jay

  25. Would I feel offended if another boater pointed out an obvious risk that I was putting myself, my family and / or my passengers in? No, I would not. However, I do have the advantage of a fully developed & properly functioning Temporal Lobe. After a full career of Search & Rescue, I'm convinced there are many folks who don't. What else could it be ? . ? . ? btw ~ Common Sense Boating is an Oxymoron. A-Jay
