  2. ^^^^^^^^^ This . . . However I'm very partial to the 3/4 ounce model - and so was my PB ~ A-Jay

  4. It was Veterans Day, November 11, 2013, right around sunset. So it turned out to be an 11-11 caught on 11/11. A-Jay
  5. Nice Bass ~ Congrats A-Jay
  6. Very Nice Jeff ~ Well Worth the Wait. Certainly does your Trophy Proud. A-Jay
  7. I have often fished the color I liked and fished it hard too. But when you're in the boat with an angler who has the right color & the right pop - you get SCHOOLED ! A-Jay
  8. Nice Bass. Congrats on the PB. A-Jay
  9. When fishing the Pointers (Jerkbaits) water clarity plays a primary role in color selection. And you're right - there are too many colors and they all seem to work at one time or another. But here's a few good ones: Clear water ~ American Shad, Misty Shad, MS MJ Herring - Aurora Wakasagi Off Colored water ~ NC Shell White, Nishiki, Aurora Green Perch A-Jay
  10. Loading up that coffee ? A-Jay
  11. I am an EWG treble hook user (almost exclusively now) and I can not say that the hook up ratio is any better, but the Fish Landing Definitely Is. Additionally, I have not used the Gammy trebles you've mentioned but just for the record, the Mustad KVD 1x Strong 2x Short Triple Grip Treble Hook has completely changed my confidence in crank bait fishing. Fish lost on the way to boat on these hooks has almost been completely eliminated - You may want to give them a try. A-Jay
  12. Hello and Welcome to BR ~ A-Jay
  13. If I had to pick Just One ~ SEXY SHAD ~ it's been berry berry good to me. A-Jay
  14. Although he hasn't written it yet, if Dwight Hottle ever decieces to write a book & divulge the "Secrets of Successful Jerkbaiting for Bass" I'd buy it and read it at Least Twice. A-Jay
  15. I crank with the Lamigals SR705R and 765 ~ both are glass and fairly beefy blanks. I am very happy with these two reels. KVD Cranker Calcutta 200D A-Jay
  16. That's a nice compliment with regards to the commitment you made to maintaining it's condition mechanically & cosmetically. Kudos . . . A-Jay
  17. Admittedly, I have stayed a little too long a few times is the past. Mostly as a younger human. Also learned from many rescues that there is now such thing as "leaving Early" . . . . but you'll certainly know it when you've "Stayed Too Long"... . . . . . . A-Jay
  18. Thanks K - Lynn also spent many years floating around the north Atlantic in the USCG. From New England down to Cape Hatteras, she's seen a fair share of & is no stranger to inclement weather. The lack of water spouts and giant waves made us both feel quite a bit more comfortable. A-Jay
  19. Sweeeeeeet ! Congrats ~ A-Jay
  20. Hello Greg and Welcome to BR ~ That's a fairly sizable introductory post ~ Congrats. A-Jay
