  1. Contact 00 mod (Jeff) he'll set you up. There's a trip scheduled for March 2014 and there are several BR members going. What are you waiting for man - Do It. A-Jay
  2. Another possible option might be to purchase an extra spool for your reel. Then simply insert the spool / line of your choice. You'll get the flexibility of "a second rig" for a fraction of the cost. A-Jay
  3. You can buy them on line. Could not be any easier. It starts and ends with Character. There is Pride in doing the right thing. Especially when you're the only one who knows. A-Jay
  4. You know it's not the knot. You've tied enough knots to recognize a good one from a bad one. It's the Fluorocarbon - You didn't mention the brand; as It does matter. Some brands are notoriously bad especially for knot strength. Switch to Maxima Ultragreen premium copolymer monofilament and Stop punishing yourself - It's a little $$ but not as much as the top shelf fluorocarbon. The manufacturer claims Ultragreen is virtually invisible to fish because of it's ability to match the color of the surrounding water. Light is absorbed by the line rather than reflected. I can only attest to it's effectiveness and it has excellent abrasion resistance. It's a little stiff making it a killer leader but might not be as good a mainline. The point you might be most interested in is the very good and Predictable knot strength. Tie some knots and test it - see for yourself. Your mystery break-offs will be a distant memory. This leader line was recommended to me by Dwight H. He uses it exclusively. I made the switch a while back. After seeing it in action in and around the zebra mussels of Lake Erie and then the Line Shredding trees of Lake Baccarac, I'm a believer. A-Jay
  5. A Virtual Symphony of Rage Craw Music ! A-Jay
  6. For the LONGEST Time, My son, Myself, My Father, My Grandfather & My Great Grandfather ALL said that about the Boston Red Sox . . . . . .and then they did finally win. And it was good. One might simply have to wait them out. A-Jay
  7. It's an Old Town Predator Square back 15' 3". A 40 inch beam makes it very stable. I use a second battery which is wired in up in the bow acting as ballast. Like any small craft, the wind is both a curse and a blessing. It positions the fish but makes fishing a challenge. I almost always fish standing, facing the stern, fishing into the wind. I use an extension on the trolling motor handle and use the motor in reverse to maneuver. When conditions dictate I will anchor and do so about 50 % of the time. A-Jay
  8. This works for me. A-Jay.
  9. I sent you a PM. A-Jay
  10. Certain colors work in certain conditions and often times it varies on each body of water. There are other factors to that might play a role besides water clarity like amount of light, the color of the surrounding cover or the bottom to name a few. I really don't know why certain colors work. I've tried to reason it out and some of it seems to make sense. However, when shad works one day and then clown the next, it's hard to figure out what's going on there. I've learned not to put limits on the colors I'll try when I'm looking for right one. And although I do hate this fishing euphemism it does seems to apply; "let the fish tell you what they want". Could be a natural pattern or it could be fire tiger. As long as I'm getting bit - I'm good. A-Jay
  11. Yup ~ Nice bass and very cool Photo ~ A-Jay
  12. Good Eye ~ It is a Berkley Powerbait Beast and unfortunately it's been discontinued for a couple of years now. When a trailer that "Glides" on a tight line is what they want - this one works nicely. I stocked up a while ago but starting to run a little low. A-Jay
  13. I hear you Kent, but you do know that some of the better members of that team have are whatever reason playing else where. As I said, Denver looks Scary good. A-Jay
  14. Prefer the Texas Rigged plastic rather than the "Brush Guard" in front of the otherwise open hook. Additionally this bait is infinitely customizable. A-Jay
  15. Check out the Duo Realis Jerkbait 100Sp & 120SP reasonably priced and they catch fish. And although I have yet to use them, the Swithwick Perfect "10" Rogue is quickly gaining fans is a few select Jerk bait fishing circles. A-Jay
  16. Perhaps - but don't forget a few years back they went 11-5 with Tommy Boy. Clearly they had a different team back then so I'll agree that a QB on this team is even more important than ever. I was glad to see that Mr Brady has decided to tone down the side line temper tantrums. If his receivers ever showed him up like that after a bad pass there would be H. E. double Hockey sticks to pay. That 4th down fumble / muffed snap proves he's got at least one part of his own game to improve on. A-Jay
  17. Realizing that the general consensus is that Denver has played weaker teams so far, either way they still look very good in all three phases of the game. Despite being a Patriots fan, 4-0 New England still looks a little shakey. I wasn't very confident going into the Atlanta game last night but they pulled it off. It came at a cost - the season ending injury to V. Wilfork is a "Big" loss. A-Jay
  18. Isn't guessing her weight a bit of an insult to that fine bass ? ~ - Very Nice fish regardless of the weight. and btw - sooner or later some enterprising individual will put a scale on a phone. Do you guys think the hook would interfere with texting ? A-Jay
  19. Yup ~ Manual (Lake Baccarac's Head Guide) Sent out a brief video he shot with his phone - wasn't pretty. A-Jay
  20. Cool- Looking forward to seeing this one. A heads up notice a bit before it airs would certainly be appreciated. A-Jay
  21. I like catching them right on the end of my left thumb This Fatty ate a jig & craw a couple of days ago. A-Jay
  22. That's pretty funny - but effective. A-Jay
  23. Happy Birthday Kent ~ A-Jay
