  1. I went ethanol free a couple of years back. 2018 200 hp Pro XS gets a 50/50 'blend' of Quickcare & Quickleen at every fill up. I made a semi-bulk purchase and have the pre-mix at the ready in the Lund to be used when needed. 4 oz per 10 Gal Starts right up and runs like a top. A-Jay
  2. LOL ~ He may have out grown it. I'll ask him prior to the next scheduled mowing, and if he's up for it, I'll post a pic. A-Jay
  3. Pretty much one of the few times I'd rather shovel 3 ft of wet snow off the roof . . . Hope you get better. A-Jay
  4. In the beginning she could. But it's a little beyond her capacity now. Unless we did a very local mid day thing. Great news is we are planning on being in the Old Town together again Thursday ! First time in a couple of years. Very exciting. A-Jay
  5. Nailed It ~ ! A-Jay
  6. It's a little early in the year, even for me. But I couldn't wait any longer as it was getting very jungle-like. So that first cut always feels & smells pretty good. #sharpbladesrule A-Jay
  7. December January February March July 🤴 A-Jay
  8. Seaguar Smackdown Braided Line Stealth Gray ~ I have & prefer 8 lb but I don't think they make it any more. Might need to go to 10 lb; probably not much of a difference. My ned rig fishing, which I don't do a ton of, mostly happened in open water. https://youtu.be/3OXnPQs0bqQ?feature=shared&t=61 A-Jay
  9. I fell asleep and missed them. Because I'm old, stupid and pathetic. What a spaz. 🥴 A-Jay
  10. It's about time. And we both know in GA, that 'Fireplace' is a prop. A-Jay
  11. The past several years I have been using the services of The Antzl Project to mark my more notable fish catches. I have posted about this previously but IMO, it bears repeating. I'm not a Mount or Replica kind of guy, so the a decent size digital print does it for me. Do like the 20 x 24 inches size on canvas and I have several hanging in a stairwell; affectionately named "Bass Alley". My latest addition arrived a couple of days ago. We also have many of the dogs we fostered & placed hanging in the lobby at the local animal shelter. People have done everything under the sun and many are completely Amazing. The Antzl Project (run by Kevin Washburn) does excellent work at a reasonable rate and completes them in a timely manner. Considerably less (time & $$) in all respects vs a mount or replica. There are 'several' sizes & types of material available and these units last. He works exclusively through FB and Email and the process is super easy. https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=the antzl project If you're thinking about it, I say go for it. A-Jay
  12. After my scheduled off day plus a day on Lake Menderchuck, I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 2. When I can swing it, I do prefer training in the morning. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/qBrIJch9wmw?feature=shared A-Jay
  13. We had a spectacular show last night and should be pretty good again tonight. Always seems like it should make some type of sound. But nope, just silent beauty that never repeats itself. #auroraborealisrules (not my Pic) A-Jay
  14. The bad parts of where you fish You're kidding right ? The highest rewards almost always come with a good bit of suffering & sacrifice. Makes success that much sweeter. When I'm not willing to take the rough road, the other one is always a dead end. Fish Hard A-Jay Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. Continued success is stumbling from failure to failure with little to no loss of enthusiasm.
  15. Hello Bob ~ Welcome to Bass Resource A-Jay
  16. Sean, that is Awesome ! Made my whole day. Here's to Continued progress And Great Health for you moving forward. A-Jay
  17. Old Thread but been doing this for a while - works for me. A-Jay
  18. When the fishing's good, the weather's bad, so the inside & outside of the AT4 takes a hit. Finally got around to correcting that mess. A-Jay
  19. Had to go with mid-Day training on this one. Always a challenge for me. Workout Day 1 as scheduled. Tried to perform my working sets as strict & clean as I can. Coming close to failure but never really getting there. Hate getting hurt and Rehab makes me crazy. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  20. You're preaching to the choir my friend. For every hour I'm casting, I have at least that scouting. Especially on the bigger water. But night ops are an entirely different deal. A-Jay
  21. Nice ~ Only the truly addicted of us never give a second thought to making a pre-dawn launch to scout. I like your style Sir. Good Luck the rest of the season. Hope you get one that scares you when to set the hook ! A-Jay
  22. 13 years ago today ~ My best trout from the Old Town Canoe. A-Jay
  23. Hello @Vince and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ My version of this is: My 'fishing is a hobby', one I take seriously (like anything I chose to put my valuable time into), but still just a hobby. The Best & Worst 'fishing experiences' I've ever had, all revolve around 'balance'. I'm taking about balance in my personal life; which I can assure you is one heck of an eternal roller coaster ride. However, when I can put the same time & effort into 'balancing' out my home & personal life, best I honestly can, that I am willing to put into my fishing hobby, it's almost always better in the long run. Things seem to work out best for the men who can make the best out of the way things turn out. Good Luck A-Jay
  24. I can only offer my own personal feelings on this. My answer after a plus size catch ALWAYS IS "Let's Do That Again". https://youtu.be/o9xew3tWuuU?feature=shared&t=573 The addiction is real and in many ways much of my life revolves around it. I like it that way. A-Jay
