  1. That 1550 lbs dry hull weight will jump up a bit when you add a tank of fuel, your motor & gear. Still a single axle candidate IMO just ensure the trailer tires included are load rated to meet your needs. I'm thinking a trailer tire load rating of D or maybe even E should do it. Good Luck. A-Jay
  2. My trip across Lake Menderchuck this morning was pretty sweet. On the cooler side, but still worth the price of admission. btw - love the Mad Dog ATV UTV Goggles. A-Jay
  3. Bummer - Glad no one was hurt. Hope you have the Wild Gander Coverage, it's a special this month at All State . . . They've got you covered. A-Jay

    I just bought 3. I like them. A-Jay
  5. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Perhaps direct your question(s) in the rod & reel forum. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum/12-fishing-rods-reels-line-and-knots/ A-Jay
  6. LOL ~ I'm trying to picture that disaster, but unless one is as skilled as you are, it seems pretty hard to do. A-Jay
  7. A couple of years ago, I had a decent jerkbait bite going and I was pretty excited about it. I was in some deeper water and my rig was blowing around a bit. Rather than reposition the boat, I stepped to the stern to cast at the fish. Reared back to launch my favorite (at the time) Vision 110+1 into orbit, and the bait clipped one of the Talons. Both my reel and the bait blew up. Made no attempt to pick out the backlash, simply retired the rig to the rod locker. Ended up taking the snips to it later and and re-spooling with fresh 10 FC. As a reminder, I kept the busted up bait. Still use it as a $25 casting plug in the yard. Morale of this story is, stay on the bow. A-Jay
  8. Workout Day 5 this morning. My lower back was barking at me so I accounted for that. Skipped the core work. Might need an additional off day. Have to see how it goes. It's always something. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  9. Tongue & Cheek comment. Used the OP's own words. Seems he understands perfectly well what the challenges are here, yet is unwilling to modify anything to improve his deal. For the price of a pizza and a half a tank of gas, he could. A-Jay
  10. @tcbass I have been running two (Console & Bow) flush mounted helix 10's for going on 8 seasons. IME (like most anything) there's Pro's & cons. Pros I like the clean look. I like the open visibility during travel without having multiple units that I'm 'looking around'; to see what's a head. The unit's are out of the way, especially up forward which aids in a smooth fish landing for me. Con's Removal for any reason in a PIA (could also be a Pro). But I'm talking about if & when a unit may need repair. Finally, some folks 'remove' the units for travel. And I think that's a really good idea. Depending on the terrain, flush mounted units endure quite a bit of vibrating while trailering. May even lead to premature failure (which is what I believe happened in two of the 4 units I've had on this rig). Despite not driving like I'm participating in the Baja 500, some bouncing & vibration is unavoidable, especially up here. Northern Michigan roads are notoriously bad, in particular many lake access roads. Either way, I weighed all that and still prefer it this way YMMV Good Luck A-Jay
  11. Stop being stupid. A-Jay
  12. I heard it was another excessive nogan size infraction. It's like a lunar eclipse. 🤪 A-Jay
  13. Btw, Megabass left out a couple of important and productive color chart indicators. HS and TW That would be Hawg Snatcher and Tank Wrecker. That is all for today. A-Jay
  14. Sweet ! I just leart sumphin ' Thank you 😎 A-Jay
  15. I'm working on it my friend - Freezing my arse off, but I'm working on it. 😨 A-Jay
  16. Quantum Tour KVD Limited Edition A while back over the course of a few months, I managed to snip a handful off e-bay for a song. Reel has been good to me. A-Jay
  17. I used this a couple of times to recover data off a "busted" card. Thanks J A-Jay
  18. Thanks - Me too. And I'll be using both V8 motors later today. (pic's from last years, doesn't look like here that now) A-Jay
  19. Like a Ping Pong Ball bouncing back & forth over the net, so is the iced up / open water status of Lake Menderchuck. Checked it yesterday - Open water Again. Such a different deal this spring, and I use that term in the most literal sense. Either way, I'm hitting a local Lake today and headed for bigger water on Sunday, as long as the forecast holds close. Can you say jerkbaits - I can. I'm out ! 😁 A-Jay
  20. Sitting in that rig and doing advanced fuel cost consumption calculations is weak salad. I say if you buy ~ run it. A-Jay
  21. LOL - Let me check with the bait monkey first. I think there's a DC to non DC reel ratio rule that I may need to get waived. I'll let you know how he rules. "Objection, Calls for speculation !". A-Jay
  22. I have 1 very simple suggestion. Fish where & what you're comfortable with, just do it when no one else is there. When ever that may be. Good Luck A-Jay
  23. Hello Leon and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  24. That's Great ! I'm sure there's still plenty of muscle memory happen there. I benefit from the standard weight training supplements myself, minus the TRT. Seems a lot of middle and later aged men go that route these days. Hope it continues to go well for you. A-Jay
