  1. Perhaps Luck & Karma are related in that one often seems to beget the other. And being 'prepared' can be beneficial, regardless of which type of 'Luck' comes our way. A-Jay
  2. Wow ~ Just wow. A-Jay
  3. Yup ~ Especially at night. A-Jay
  4. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on the nice bass and a most graphic introduction. A-Jay
  5. Hello Nic and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay

  7. Nicely Done, oh Great Hunter ~ PB is my bait of choice as well. And for a relatively tiny little stinker, they can do damage. Hope there's no more. A-Jay
  8. Past few seasons I've been using a small piece of white cloth tape and a decent ball point pen. I write the line size & type - F & M to indicate fluorocarbon or mono. (A letter is not needed for braid) On casting reels I place it on the bottom of the reel foot (seat). On spinning reels I put it on the inside of the spool cup. The locations on both reels remain dry for the most part. If there is ever a question as to what's on what reel, it's only a matter of taking the reel off and looking: or in the case of the spinner - check inside the spool. Taking the reel off or looking under the spinning reel spool takes a few seconds but the answer is always there. And there's plenty to keep track of . . . A-Jay
  9. I have not used the Sunline product - I have read notes made by anglers who have used both - that the two lines are comparable. I use both the Invisx and Tatsu locally and south of the border, where it really gets a workout, without any problems. A-Jay
  10. I find that Amazon routinely has The Best Prices on line ~ especially bulk spools Their everyday prices are often a considerable savings vs the TW super sales. For example . . . https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002YKKIA6/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A364EMG98WC7R6&th=1&psc=1 Now go check out the TW Black Friday price. If you use this product - prepare to get happy. A-Jay

  12. There Ya go ~ Either way, the madness can be a cost effective way to replenish some gear. Items like Soft plastics, fishing line (both main lines & leader material), worm hooks & weights, treble hooks & split rings, skirt making material, and whatever the hot deal was on the recent trip south of the border (this time it was swimbaits) are all common re-purchases for me now and ones I routinely only need to make once a season - might as well take advantage of some savings. I'll also restock the fuel stabilizer shelf (knowing that it will get used sooner or later). Wish I could purchase & safely store 3 or 4 hundred gallons of boat gas at a 25% discount . . . . . . 13. Very Nice. The interwebs & social media have certainly made 'connecting' a completely different deal than in days past. ? A-Jay
  14. Gonna be a longer 'winter' apparently ~ ? A-Jay
  15. @everythingthatswims Beat me to the the punch ~ I am a huge fan of that VMC Boxer head for swimbaits on smallies. (Use it on my A-Rigs for brown bass too) The hook is stout but not overly. The 3/8 oz matches up nicely with the 3.8 and the 4.3 inch baits. ? A-Jay
  16. Happy ^^^^^^ Day ~ ? A-Jay
  17. Maybe not, but I am certainly willing to give it the old college try ~ Ok wait - didn't go to college . . . .? ? A-Jay
  18. NO Doubt about it. These Quantum reels are holding me back ~ Big Time ! A-Jay
  19. Nope ~ Not even a little. #embraceyourroots ? A-Jay

  22. Sweet ! Gotta Love those Early Black Friday Sales Events. ? A-Jay
  23. While I do not usually target big brown trout, early season while looking for brown bass with jerkbaits, I catch a few. Here's my two best from last spring ? A-Jay
