  1. That actually makes sense - Still think he's making a mistake passing on the dog grooming opportunity. "Mike Clipper Hands" A-Jay
  2. Figures. What are the chances that Ike just decides to quite the sport and take up competitive Dog Grooming ? A-Jay

And the New Motor Ape is no Joke either ! A-Jay
  4. Thanks ~ Hope your conditions & fishing improve sooner rather than later. We are getting rained on straight through into next week ! Totally kills the smallie bite - Hate It ! A-Jay
  5. That's what I'm talk'in about ~ Great Big Fat Brown Bass ! Congrats. Now order up some darn sun and get rid of all this ball bust'in wind ! A-Jay

  9. I have two of these - This IS My 1/2 RED rod. I do not throw the smaller bait but you'll be good. https://www.tackledirect.com/quantum-tkvd706mb-tour-kvd-pt-cranking-rod.html A-Jay
  10. I've had decent success early morning & later in the afternoon in the fall. While the water temps remain above 50-ish, don't be afraid to get out at sunrise. Air temp may only matter to us right about then. Here in northern Michigan, early fall mornings air temps can be in the 30's but the fishing's great ! Here's some info on just such a trip from yesterday. As the season winds down the warmest parts of the day (with the sun out especially) have always produces better results for me on smallies. Good Luck A-Jay
  11. This is very good stuff. Completely tie-able, strong and thin. Does not kink. I'd recommend 26lb Camo for your swimbait application. A-Jay
  12. My current favorite jerkbait rod is The Slasher spun up by Alpha rods ~ https://www.alphaangler.com/products/jerkbait-fishing-rod A-Jay
  13. Yup - I will often work the bait back while attempting to as little as I can with it. Definitely not looking for a reaction strike this way. The mind set that anything on the basses menu is trying pretty hard not to draw any attention to itself so that it can avoid that end game scenario. It's the basses world; she knows it's there whether I hop it, drag it or just inch it along. If she wants it - she find it & hopefully eat it. Can sometimes turn pressured or wary fish into temporary Live Well Guests. A-Jay
  14. A-Mart looked like he was actually in pain in that clip. Really feel for the guy, had to be an agonizing decision. Bet each group will feel a whole lot better once this deal is done & over with and they can get back to fishing. A-Jay
  15. @punch @Team9nine @Gundog Thank You. A-Jay
  16. @punch Where is this video - can't find it. Could I please get a link (or at least a little hint) ? A-Jay
  17. KVD may be the one angler that could make his own rule. Sort of like ~ "Ya - I'm fishing both derbies. Anyone got a problem with that ?" A-Jay

Not exactly sure what you might be looking for ~ I use Go Pro's and Movavi Editing Software - Post video's & pics from the video rather routinely. In fact, most everything fish related posted here in the last few years came from that format. Clearly the pics need to be re-sized to post here but once you get a handle on that - it's a fairly simple process. A-Jay
  20. There are several Really Talented Bass Resource Members who do some of the highest quality work you could ever hope to find. I recommend posting an open request in the Rod Building / Custom Rods forum here ~ https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum/46-rod-building-and-custom-rods/ There is no doubt in my mind that you'll end up very happy and perhaps with a little extra $$ in your pocket. 21. Not a lot of options like that offered off the shelf, regardless of price. You would most likely be better served to provide these particular performance qualities to a reputable rod builder and have one of your liking spin up the way you want. It would most likely not be as much $$ as that G Loomis stick and perhaps even better suited for your specific needs. A-Jay
  22. Check out the Savage Gear Swimbait Casting Rod 8' Heavy and a Shimano Cardiff A Series Casting Reel (300 / 400 size) Both quality products that are reasonably priced. Good Luck A-Jay
