Very Cool Deak ~ Thank You very much. I don't get back down there as often as I probably should. But semi-subconsciously, that's by design. A-Jay

Yes - born & raised (through high school) just outside of Boston, MA. Whole family's still there - I go back every few years or so for a few days, just to remind myself why I left. Too many people. A-Jay

Brady Suspension ( 4 Games )
During the Off Season now, one would never know Professional Football is even a sport. Thanks to the mainstream media coverage, The National Football League has become a seriously BAD Reality Show. It's like this weird combination of Naked & Afraid mixed with Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader ? As an NFL Fan, I'm really disappointed. A-Jay

Naked Rage Blade
I fish them both and seems that the rage blade runs with a slightly more subtle action. Also the Rage Blade comes though vegetation a little cleaner. Both work best for me on a slow retrieve but the Scrounger is the better choice for deeper applications where the Rage Blake really excels in the top of the water column, right under the canopy of veggies. And I'm liking that KVD Perfect Plastic Blade Minnow SK put out on Both baits. A-Jay

What Are Your 3 Go To Bass Baits?
When I'm fishing deep in no or very light (just on the bottom) type cover, which is how I usually fish it - especially for SMB, I use spinning gear and a standard 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG on the Rage Craw - on 10 lb braid & an 8lb sometimes 10lb Big Game Mono leader (green). They usually choke it pretty good, especially when it's all slathered up with Megastriike or the claws are dipped in spike-It garlic. Either way, I don't have any trouble hooking fish and consider the rig as fool proof as any I fish - a real producer; particularly when the fish are in deep clear water. When fishing it in denser (but not massive cover) I'll beef up the whole rig. Casting gear - 30 lb braid, a 15 lb mono leader (or none at all). Then the plastic goes on a 3/0 Owner Wide Gap Plus EWG hook. A super strong, very sharp, superbly designed, Gaff of a hook. Can you tell I like that one ? Hope that helps A-Jay

Perspective ~
Today was the worst day ever And don’t try to convince me that There’s something good in every day Because, when you take a closer look, This world is a pretty evil place. Even if some goodness does shine through once in a while Satisfaction and Happiness do not last. And it’s not true that It’s all in the mind and heart Because True happiness can be obtained Only if one’s surroundings are good It’s not true that good exists I’m sure you can agree that The reality Creates My attitude It’s all beyond my control And you’ll never in a million years hear me say that Today was a good day. Now read it from the bottom to the top. A-Jay

Gliss Monotex Line ~ A Brief Review
The only resemblance Gliss has with the lines mentioned above is that it's not Nylon. I've used nanofil & fireline. Both had a few strong & many weak points in my mind. Gliss has all the strong points and so far, very few, if any, of the weak. I've only used the "40lb" Gliss - so I can not address how the smaller tests compare. But what I can tell you is that the diameter is about HALF of what standard and most current braids are. As mentioned, the manageability is very good, the casting is very good but that super small diameter may not be the best for flipping the slop. Also the "Advantage" of long casts may not be needed for up-close presentations. I'm not claiming that this is the line to end all lines, but I've been sorely disappointed by many I've tried and this one is NOT on that list. I ordered a few spools of the smaller diameter Gliss to try out in spinning gear applications, we'll see how that goes. Expecting good things. A-Jay

Baitcaster Accuracy Help
There's not secret or trick to casting accurately. Just practice it until you get what you're looking for. Do it enough and you'll probably get better at it. Like riding a bike or hitting a baseball, except without the helmet (unless things are really getting out of hand. A-Jay

Bullnose Rudder For Trolling Motors
I purchased this exact model not long after the initial post here. It's on the Old Town pictured below and I'm very happy with it. When not anchored and fishing a spot, I'm fishing off the stern with the motor in slow reverse to move & / or hold position. The rudder helps track straight instead of "Crabbing" in a cross wind.
