sufix seige and elite are top notch imo.

Shimano put the 2500 t-handle on the 3000FJ ,and did away with the spare spool, not impressed..The Saros 3000 is my goto spinning reel for saltwater inshore and LMB.

In clear water , I use 2ft of #30 sufix mono leader uni/uni knot , when it doesn't matter I tie straight to the hook with #65 braid.

I use a loomis MBR783C GL3 curado 200E7 with yo-zuri hybrid #15 and a 3/0 gammy EWG.

Are the new reels made in Japan ? Facts only , no speculation please.

I have Tidemaster spinning rods, not those models specifically ..Can't say enough about them..If your really interested in them call St.Croix and talk to them about the size of the reel seats ,just to make sure there not going to be to big for a bass reel..I have not seen them in person ,so I can't say.
