    Cabinet setter/plumber and fire/ems
  2. Nah, actually a friend of mine from the east coast sent it. I thought it was priceless though!
  3. FIshed most of my years with the 5500 series. Mostly the older models. Just went to lo-pro reels over winter. There is nothing you can do with the 5500 that the revo s can't. And you'll find the lo-pros are so much more comfortable. I'm sure these guys that have fished with them alot longer can attest to the comfort theory.
  4. I'm just bettin that you mix your taters and gravy, corn and beans all together in one big pile too. Don't ya?
  5. Stacy, you sound like a man with a can-do attitude. I believe you and your family will be fine. Good luck to you and yours!
  6. PR, the why's are an age old question concerning bass. I have resigned myself to the fact that if half the world's biologists can't understand why the bass will just "shut down", I never will. When this happens, I just pretend that I am fishing for something else.
  7. By the way, you should have been on Spirit with me friday. Windier than heck, but I ended up with 3-4 pike, 1 nice walleye, and about a dozen large mouth. Biggest was 5#. HaHa !!
  8. Josh, if you wanted to find a club, why din't you ask. I can hook you up. Brian
  9. I'm at a loss. Good luck with it. I'll be watching to see what you come up with.
  10. triggers will set pretty much directly under the thumb bar release.
  11. When casting, have only 1 finger ahead of the trigger, at the end of the cast, put a second or a third finge ahead of the trigger before retrieval. See how that goes.
  12. This is gonna end badly!
  13. Try putting 3 fingers ahead of the trigger and palm the side of the reel like a baseball.
  14. What kind of reel and rod? Sounds like you set up is way out of balance
  15. There is a screw on the drag side of the reel just above the drag. You should be able to loosen it all the way with just using your thumb. If not, use a screw driver. Looosen it all the way, it will not completely come out. rotate the left side plate 1/4 turn to the right. Wiggle a little and it should come off. Look on the inside of it and you'll see 6 red brake shoes. Some are near the axis and some are away from the axis. How many are near the axis (center)? This is easy. Let me kow.
  16. I'm just trying to understand. I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone mention that the trigger bothered their hand that much.
  17. How are you holding the rod that the trigger hurts your hands?
  18. Gotta tell ya I'm with everyone else on this. Mine will go a country mile before the jake brake kicks in. Micro, while your on, I have a question on the brakes. Can you tell me if they need to be set in pairs? Thanks, ff15
  19. Let me know if you score any 50 or 60 hp mercs for free LOL
  20. Thanks vtbassin. the fog has lifted, LOL
  21. Did you go back to the gut that you got it from and question him about your planing problem?
  22. Went to my go to lake yesterday. Felt like I was in the middle of a Deadliest Catch episode. Literally 30-40 mph winds. Drenched after 5 minutes. Stuck it out for about 5 hrs, and actually did pretty well. A nice walleye, a few pike (yuk), and about a dozen lm, the biggest being about 5#. That being fairly sizey for my lake, made it worthwhile. Only lost 2 baits, 1 baitcaster (retreived), and got swamped 3 times.
  23. About the time I decide something isn't working, I'll change colors. THen after about 1/2 hr, if I'm still not getting anything I'll switch. What to switch to sometimes is a real head scratcher. ff15
  24. I realize that this is comparing apples to oranges, but I have a 15'9 v-hull with a '88 50 hsp merc. 1 person 27mph. Why do you want it to porpoise? distribute weight, take off, and when planed out, bump the motor up alittle at a time and watch your plane. Still a problem?
