Printer cartridges a rant
I'm with IHook on Dell. And I agree that usually the "knockoffs" do hold more for your money.

Need advice on lines!
I think that your gonna find it hard to choose based on everyones opinion. They generally all have qualities that are similar, and one guy is gonna tell you why he likes this one or that, and the next is gonna tell you why he don't. I asked of my self the same question, read as much on this forum as I could and ended up at square one for choices. But I did get an education on braid application. I ended up with power pro 30# test with and 8# mono dia equiv. And I like it. Hope you find the one that fits your pistol. Good luck to ya!

what kind of nails for wacky rig?
I understand a little about whacky style, but you guys have me on the nail. I'm more into cranks and spinners, but am trying to get myself more educated with worms and such. Can you clue me in? Thanks ff15

Reels - correlation between price & repairs
For that kind of money, unless they are relatively new and under warranty, scrap um! Still at that price and proper maintainance, you should be able to get your monies worth from them. Everybody's idea of "monies worth" isn't gonna be the same though. That's a personnal evaluation.

MN fishing guides
Aaron, check out the chippewa Falls-Eauclaire WI area. About 1 hr. straight east of you. Very good muskey fishing in that area. Get directory assistance and find the chamber of commerce. You'll find guides. I'm about an hour east of that yet. If you want I can see what I find close to the state line. Sorry, no help on the MN side. Check out www.muskyhunt.com

buying first trolling motor
I helped find my step dad a comfortable boat that has an older bow mount trolling motor. Wants to upgrade. Put a minnkota v2 on it for him, but it's more difficult to get out of the water than the ones with the longer base. Do they make a trolling motor with a longer base that is power assist and not cable driven? Sorry for intruding.

How to fill a 1/4" hole in aluminum transom ?
ss thru bolt w/rubber washer on both sides.

This Got My Attention
Didn't figure that out until my dad died a few years ago. Took almost 10 yrs to pick up a pole again. But to the original pont, that and a few yrs of growing up, I hope, made me a better person.

Quantum Tour Edition Reel?
I have energies in all 3 ratios. Love them to death. I do believe that the bearing count is the only difference with the tour edition.

Skeet Reese's Revo....BAIT MONKEY..is yelling in my ear!
As much as I am a revo fan, I don't think either one of them is worth 200 bucks. I'll wait until someone else buys them, decides they don't like them and I'll get them on e-bay for 100-125 dollars.

Spinnerbait Questions
Check out Northland tackle. I buy them locally, but Google their homepage. They are out of Bemidji MN, I think. They have a geat selection, and they are quality. Northland also has a good selection of worms and jigs. I use mostly their natural colors. Golden shad, pumpkin, etc....

So What Will Quantum Do Now?
I don't kow anything about marketing tactics, but if quantum was looking to get a few of them reels out there looking for good reports in the baitcasting world, they sure got my vote. I just can't find anything about them that's not spot on for me. Some, I believe have an issue with overall size and the weight, but they are also the guys that, from what I read, are getting out and fishing for alot longer periods of time than me.

What about you?
Switched to all lp baitcasters over winter. Bought several. Ran out of money before I could get to Shimano, but so far I can't say enough good about the Revos or the Quantum Energies. The Daiwas (153H) are giving me a problem with casting distance. I think I need to go with lighter line and longer rods. I also picked up a Daiwa 2500 spinner. What a sweet reel. Jury is still out on rods. Just received a bps Nitro. Can't wait to try it!

Need quick answers
I'm no expert with plastics, but what I do know is water like that I like fishing 3/8 oz. #5 gold colorado single blade spinners. natural and darker colors. Goodluck!

Baitcaster drag
I just got a PBS Nitro I ordered, and wow, what a sweet reel. For whatever reason the drag was cranked all the way tight. When I back it off all the way, it's probably at about 3-4 lbs. Does anyone know if I'll be able to get the drag to loosen up on it's own or will I need to have the drag taken apart and reassembled?
