Revo s Vs. Citica
What you are looking at is 2 reels that perform very well with both having, in general, comparable quality. Opinions are always welcome because they give you food for thought in what you may have missed, but remember that opinions aren't cut in stone. If you haven't, I would go find these reels and hold them, put them on a rod, and if possible, see if there is a way to make a couple of casts with them. I understand that this may be a tall order, but if it's doable it would be worth it to you. Then you can come back here and chew on the opinions with a little more info already under your belt. They are both respectable reels and I am sure that after doing your homework here, you'll choose the right one for yourself. cough revo cough

Official BR Christmas Gift Exchange Hint Thread
Santa's sleigh leaves this morning, so my guy is gonna have to like what the elves have arranged. I'm sure he'll be okay with it. If I remember right all he really needed to be happy was a Budweiser and fishing pole. Excellent job Robert, as all have said, we appreciate you taking on the responsibility this year. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I was trying suppress old memories of a small town called Corbin KY from years ago. After a few belts of the local hooch, I started to see very large bunny rabbits......at least I think they were old memories. ;D

Need some suggestions please
Honestly, at that age he is gonna take what you say with a grain of salt and run with his heart, but I can see where you want to try. Tell him what's on your mind and then stand behind him. That's what friends do.

Hey deep fryer fans!
Lund Explorer wrote: 4. Talk to a Pro! We all are advised on here to listen to the pros about the best ways to fish. Same goes with cooking. Might not be a bad idea to stop by the local watering hole to buy their cook a couple of tall and frosties in exchange to a tour of the kitchen. A friend of mine owns a local restauraunt with an open kitchen any many times I stand at the window and catch different things he does and uses. One thing I have learned is that many commercial oils have additives which make them stand up better. Maybe by from a friend in the business. My vote: Peanut oil, but I've only used it for turkey. Don't forget to try the battered deep fried cheese curds.

Keynote speech from the Kentucky RoadTrip
Glenn, I was just on the phone this last week with the folks down at Pond Boss. I have an issue where I work with algae and there were no answers to be found locally or by Googling. That's when I remembered Bob. While I didn't speak directly with him, Chad was able to help with my problem. Folks, Bob is a wealth of info and a pleasure to rub elbows with. Kudo's to Glenn for having him to the Road Trip. Check out: http://www.pondboss.com/ for more great info from Bob.
