I like my power drive, but I wonder just how much of the noise created by the rotation motor transfers into the water. I'm guessing that it sounds like a bull in a china shop to the bass. And yes, it does use up a lot of battery. BTW, nice hog in the avatar!

Bought a little 12' over winter, just a standard 3 bench aluminum v-hull. I was gonna give it a makeover, and then this showed up at my door. It took most of thework right out of my plans. Cart7, this is the last one I was telling you about that I am thinking of putting a small deck on the bow to add a bowmount trolling motor.

I remember the night like it was yesterday. A bunch of us were sitting in the lounge area, and I was fortunate enough to be sitting with db just shootin' the breeze. In mid sentence he stops and says, "excuze me", gets up and walks over to JJ's bag, grabs it and walks it over to the far corner of the room and sets it in th corner. All the while JJ is just sitting there staring at him. Too funny. ;D

I can't say anything about you not liking the foam since that is all personal preference, but to say they aren't as light as other rods that is just assinine and looking for something negative. Next time try comparing the same rod and not a XH 7'9" to a 6'6" M. Pinky, it was only his opinion, if you think he got it wrong, that's cool too. But your retort might have been a little more polite.

Yozuri Trilene xl gamma 12 lb (expensive) Berkely Trilene Big Game/cheaper than most and a lot of people swear by it. I've heard some say that they will go as light as 10# and others will go up to 15/17#, personally I stick with 12# Yozuri. I Don't use braid for treble hook baits, so I can't comment there.

Brian, I know very little about aquariums except for a smaller one I kept a few years ago. One of the things i kept in it was a plecostomus. Not sure what type of species it is, but it looks like a cross between a carp and a catfish. They were ugly, but a cute ugly. I think she would get a kick out of 'em. Hope this helps.
