  1. Whether he can or can't be fishing the pond is not an excuse for someone stealing his gear. That's not how things should be handled. If it was the owner that came along, he could have been asked to leave. Stealing is stealing. Sorry about your gear man.
  2. By all means take the senkos, grab some spinners and a couple of cranks. Not much of a description of the lake, but armed like that, I would bet your gonna smack somethin'
  3. PB!

He shattered his old record! Great job!
  4. I realize from your post that your just trying to understand, but one thing that you might try aside from reading the FAQs on them , is to change your first impressions. Whether senkos or any other bait, a more optimistic approach to something new may boost your chances of success with trying something new. This isn't meant to be smart or degrading, just that understanding something a little before looking at the negatives will help you gain more insight as to why it may be a successful bait. Best of luck
  5. Okay, I have been staring at that pic for ten minutes, where's the foot prints to the other chair? I need to know before sack time otherwise I won't sleep.
  6. I hope you left that boat there for your return trip. I'm sure your gonna be back. I like the pic too, it gives it character.
  7. You got a nice reel there. Have it cleaned and lubed by a reel tech and fish it. I looked at the one you saw one E-bay, that's insane. He'll never get that. Just from your description, I would say if you wanted, you may get anywhere's from $75-$125 depending on who wanted it. As far as getting accustomed to baitcasters, yes I think there are better suited reels to learn on, but people have been learning to fish on the Ambassadeur round reels for years. Check out this link, it should help you get your reel set up a little better: http://www.***/education/baitcaster-setup-101.html
  8. I wouldn't worry about the silly faces, smackin' them hogs around will do that. 8-)
  9. Here's another guy who decided he doesn't need a trailer:
  10. Just out of curiosity, what are the numbers on the bottom of the reel seat?
  11. All In The Family man, ya gotta love it! 8-)
  12. Can't locate them, or can't catch them. Big difference. You may be on them but not giving them what they want. Or your presentation needs to be tweaked. Another option is maybe trying some soft plastics and maybe some jigs. There are many types of soft plastics as well as jigs, and a lot of articles on both right here on the BR forums. Check out the many threads in the tackle forum and also read through the archived articles. Here's a couple to get you going: http://www.bassresource.com/fish/bass-fishing-tips.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/bass-fishing-articles.html#techniques http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/bass-fishing-articles.html#lures Good luck!
  13. Welcome home, I'll bet Saturday isn't coming soon enough. Glad your back and enjoying the family life again.
  14. Cool dude. Great job smokin' em out! 8-)
  15. 10-12 lb on spinning gear? In my opinion, your doing just fine with the xl. At the suggestoin of others on the board, I have now spooled a couple of my baitcsters with Big Game and think the baitcasters handle it pretty good. I think xl would be more manageable on the spinning reel though.
  16. It's cool that you make time with your bro, I hope the best for him.
  17. Geez Simp, you guys were lucky. Glad your okay. that's some serious stuff man.
  18. From the pics it still looks like a great day to be on the water. Better luck next time Burley.
  19. I stand corrected, the hub is what I was referring to. Thanks Glenn.
  20. I wonder if BR's server is having some trouble.
  21. Has anyone else been having this problem the last couple of days?
  22. Nice walleye you got there Dwight!
  23. Outstanding Paul, what was today's secret weapon?
