  1. My best decision was enjoying fishing with my buddies from high school. We still talk and get together to fish every now and then. It's like a small reunion. I've learned so much from fishing with them, and I've gained lifelong friends. If we wouldn't have fished together, I'm sure we wouldn't be talking near as much as we do now.
  2. I think I might have to go run by Dicks, and pick up some new lures!!! ;D
  3. Glad to see ya here. And if you're ever in Georgia, let me know!

    She looks full!
  5. Is that why it is so bad to net bass? Nick, here is a short read that will help explain. Nice fish BTW. http://www.arkansasstripers.com/fish-slime-coat.htm Thanks a lot for that. It makes a lot more sence to me scientifically now. I never knew it was so bad to do that.
  6. Haha. Yeah, man, I tried to do the "stretch your arms out as far as possible" trick, but my camera was also my phone. I was also by myself. My scale could be off, but I wouldn't think so. I probably need to invest in a digital scale.
  7. Nice! What a great fish! Good story too.
  8. That is awesome! Nice fish! But Brazil...what were you doing in that neck of the woods?
  9. Is that why it is so bad to net bass?
  10. That is amazing! I had no idea that blind fish could survive at all. That is incredible.
  11. Yeah man! I'm looking forward to it!!
  12. What does it do to the fish when it is layed on it's side like that? (I don't want to sound ignorant, but I'm just curious)
  13. Yesterday, I went out to a pond that I had been to before twice with no luck. On another pond, I had been trying some new things, and my favorite had been my Zoom Baby Bass Fluke Jr. I tied one on and finally got one to hook up at that pond! She felt like a decent sized fish, and she jumped for me once! When she got closer, she would dive back down, and seeing the flash of white/gold was awesome to see! She was a nice 3.5 lb fish, and I was very proud to have caught her. Here is a picture of her but it doesn't quite do her justice!
  14. It looks like a decent worm. Though, I don't know if I would want to buy 20+ dollars worth of anything if I wasn't sure about it.
  15. I wanted to watch it, but I didn't find the time. I thought that it looked mildly entertaining.
  16. Man, that movie was horrible. I bet the censored version was even worse. I got up and left when I saw it.
  17. donbeatya, I totally agree about Mike Iaconelli. I love how intense he is and the love that he has for the sport. He gets people excited about fishing, and I think that is awesome.
  18. Real nice! That wasn't a bad day at all!
  19. I was fishing this morning and caught a little girl less than a pound. When I looked into her mouth, I saw that there was no way to remove the hook; it was just lodged too deeply. I ended up cutting the line, right at the hook, and releasing her like that. I know that if I would have pulled it out, she would have died. So will leaving the hook deep in her mouth like that end up killing her? Will she die of starvation?
  20. Sometimes that's what it's all about! Just enjoying what God has given us!
  21. I love Zoom u-tails! I know people have moved away from that, but that's what I catch fish on! As far as colors go, I love to have almost any color with a chartreuse tail on it dipped in some garlic scent.
  22. I let mine hit the ground, unless of course I see it start to move!!
  23. Today, after classes were out, I decided to wet my line at a small pond on the Gordon College campus. I didn't think that there were going to be any fish in the pond because it is an academic pond, and I just figured that it wouldn't hurt to try. I took out my spinning rod and a Zoom 7 inch motor oil/chartreuse u-tail. (It's my old faithful). I get out there, and I'm casting off of the shore and not getting any hits, so I walk down the edge a little bit. There were a bunch of weeds, and I was reeling in and thought that I was stuck on some of them so I just yanked it out. I then saw a very small fish swim away from the reaction. So, I was given hope! I walked around to some cattails and caught two fish in a row. Here is the first one that I caught, also my biggest for the day: They were small ones, but it was nice to just be out there looking for some fish today! It was great to catch some fish where I wasn't sure there were any at all!
  24. Dang! It looks like she's going to pop any second!!
