  1. I'll be bassin a lot more soon. Just bought my 1st boat. Plan on taking it over to Kingston Lake this Saturday.
  2. I vote for Pawtuckaway but I don't have a boat.
  3. I've fished Kingston Lake from shore plenty of times (close to where I live). Have had decent luck there. Gets pretty busy there when weather warms up.
  4. Wow, haven't been to this site since last fall. I like the new look. I would be very interested in joining this event. The fact that it is on a Saturday is great for me. I don't own a boat though. Any open seats? Jay
  5. This post made it to the 2nd page. Not used to seeing that so I figured I would write something to get it back to page 1. Went fishing once so far this season but didn't get a bite. Pretty sure I am going to try again sometime this coming weekend.
  6. Hey NHBassfishing. I do a lot of fishing from shore myself. I know a few good spots for it. I fish with soft plastics 85% of the time. Love the Fat Ika. Saturday is my main fishing day but am also free Fridays. Have you ever been over to Tower Hill Pond in Auburn? Has anyone on here gotten the new Clark's guide? Worth upgrading?
  7. Thanks for all of the advice. I did want to start adding some LC's to my arsenal. Guess I'll have to start off by getting a Pointer 65.
  8. Hey everyone. I fish for bass 99% of the time. I would like to start fishing for some trout though. The rod and reel I currently own is a Fenwick 6'6" HMG MF rod with a Pfleuger Supreme 8035MG reel. The reel is spooled with #6 Yo-Zuri hybrid. Some of the places I fish have both trout and bass. So my question is what types of bait can I use with this rod and reel that will catch trout? I would think baits like inline spinners and spoons would not weigh enough to get good casts with this setup (I fish from shore). If you could recomend something that would catch both bass and trout, that would be great. My go-to bait for bass is Fat Ikas. Anyone ever catch a trout with one of them?
  9. Hey guys. Started my fishing season earlier today. Went over to Tower Hill Pond and faced windy conditions fishing from shore. For the 1st 2 hours I didn't get a bite. Then, from 5:15-5:45 P.M., I caught 3 LMs using a Fat Ika. 1 was O.K. sized and the other 2 were dinks but it felt good to get out, get the line wet, and pull in a few fish.
  10. Watch out for Jason Voorhees if you go there!
  11. Nice fish man! Hope I can get one that big before winter hits.
  12. Welcome aboard Chad. Think you'll enjoy this site. Has tons of info and has lots of people willing to give good advice. I'm originally from NS Mass (Lynn) but now live in Southern NH. Maybe we'll cross paths in the future. Good luck catchin those hawgs! P.S. What is NEF?
  13. Hey Pain, where did you catch all those fish?
  14. Hey WAGN, ain't gonna be able to fish with you this Thurs. I have a funeral to go to. I am planning on going to Tower Hill Pond tomorrow. You are welcome to join me if you wish. Planning on getting there around 4:00 p.m. and staying till 8:00 p.m. So if you get this message today and want to come just send me a PM. I'll look for it tonight and check again tomorrow. Next Thurs. should be all good if you can't make it tomorrow. If anybody else wants to go tomorrow just do the same and send me a PM.
  15. Check out Northern Bass Supply.
  16. Hey Wagn, that is actually Tower Hill Pond in my pic. It is close to Little Massebesic. I like the place a lot because it is much more private than the places I have been fishing. No boat access so I don't have to worry about boats flying by me causing wakes every few minutes. Only people on boats there are people that lug in a canoe. If you want to check it out I'll meet up with ya to go fishing there.
  17. Anyone here fish Tower Hill Pond in Auburn, NH?

Think the trout would go after a Rapala 2" Jointed Shad Rap?

Well I went to a new pond today which I liked a lot. Had some decent luck catching LM's on a Fat Ika. Someone fishing down the shore from me was fishing with live worms and caught a 12" rainbow trout. My favorite fish to catch is bass. But when I catch them I release them. Catching trout can be fun because you can bring them back home for dinner. I was wondering if you guys could recomend a bait that will land me a decent amount of bass but be able to attract the occasional trout as well. I am fishing with a 6'6" MF rod with a spinning reel. #6 Yo-zuri ultra soft.

It has been raining a lot here for the past month. Was wondering when it is best to fish as far as rain is concerned. Would you recomend before, during, or after a rain storm? Also, what lures work best in the rain?
  23. Dam mussells! I've been catchin too many of those things over at Great Pond. The 1st time was funny but after that they get annoying. Caught 2 of them this morning.
  24. Sounds good to me.
