NO LONGER IN THE PFLUEGER POSSE, OR FENWICK FOR THAT MATTER
I bought my 1st new rod and reel in over 10 years shortly after joining this forum a few months back. After reading many posts on this site I got a Pflueger Supreme reel and a Fenwick HMG rod. I must have been reading a lot of your posts Muddy. I love the new set up so I will take your place in that posse. ;D

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
1 question. Are there lots of families there that go to bed early and might complain about noise or are there a lot of younger people partying there?

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Hey guys, I'm planning a camping trip for the 1st week of Aug. I'm looking for a place that has great bass fishing. Was planning on camping at Pawtuckaway since it is close by but haven't had much luck fishing there. I don't mind driving far up in to NH though. Want a nice place to kick back, drink some beers, swim, and CATCH SOME NICE BASS. Any recomendations will be apreciated.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Went to Great Pond (Kingston) today from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Caught only 2 fish. 1 2lb. LM and my 1st horned pout catch. Funky lookin fish who tried to bite my finger. Didn't weigh him but he was 12-14 inches long and pretty fat. Got both using watermellon/black fat ikas. Going to Pawtuckaway tomorrow if weather permits.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Hey guys, I'm looking for a fishing partner to hit up Southern NH with. The person I've been going with now is too unreliable. We'll have plans to go at a certain time and he won't be ready until hours later. I'm busy weekends working (work for Shamrock Entertainment) but am free most of the week (Mon.-Thurs.). Usually fish very early morning from 4:30 A.M. - 7:00 A.M. or I start anytime after 4:00 P.M. Down for midnight fishing as well. Don't own a boat so I'm looking for fellow shore fisherman. Hit me up if you are interested. Peace Out.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Hey guys, was wondering if anyone here has ever fished Bunker Pond. It is part of the Lamprey River. Drove by it today on my way to Pawtuckaway Pond. Saw a fallen down tree in it and almost pulled over to fish it. But I already had plans to go check out Pawtuckaway for the 1st time with my buddy. Pawtuckaway was nice. Much better than Kingston State Park. Think I'm gonna head back over there tomorrow. Arrived there at 5 and wasn't getting any bites for a while. Then around 6 there were good size bass jumpin all around us. Fishing was good for about a half hour then they seemed to dissappear. I would recomend it to people like me who don't have a boat and can't find decent spots to fish from shore in SE NH.

Does Anybody Still Use These?
Had a similiar one from 10 years ago that broke on me this year. Glad it did. Replaced it with this one. http://www.nbswebstore.com/cgi-bin/web_store/web_store.cgi?view=products&cart_id=4124450_3048&product=TackleBoxesBags&manufact=TACKLE%20LOGIC%20WORM%20FILE%20-%20HARD Smaller, lighter, and seems to hold more than my last one!

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Hey all, I am looking for a fishing partner in SE NH. Just started fishing up here and need to find good places to go. I don't own a boat so I am looking for good spots from shore. The only place I fished up here so far is Great Pond in Kingston. Only getting small guys from there so far. I live in Brentwood and would like to stay within 45 minutes from where I live. I know Kingston has other lakes but don't know where to go to fish from shore on them.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Thanks Jaystraw. I saw those Clarks guides at Northern Bass Supply and almost got it. Next time I'm in there I'll pick 1 up. That link you sent is great but I was looking for something just a little closer. For those of you that have fished in Kingston, Is Pow Wow or Country pond better than Kingston lake? If so, where can I get in and catch some fish?

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Hey all, I moved up here to NH from MA 5 years ago. Just got back into fishing a couple weeks ago. Currently I'm living in Brentwood which is near Epping & Exeter (SE NH). I don't have a boat and am trying to find a good place to catch some bass from shore. Anybody have any recomendations for me? Only place I've tried so far is Great Pond in Kingston. Went in through the state park entrance and fished to the right of the swimming area. Didn't have much luck there. Want a good place not too far from home. Also looking for new fishing buddies.

Spinnerbait storage
Check out this tackle box. I just bought one. Can hold plenty of spinners on bottom and bags of worms, etc. It is pretty light as well. Another site probably has better pics. And it is cheap. http://www.nbswebstore.com/cgi-bin/web_store/web_store.cgi?view=products&cart_id=8773498_3276&product=TackleBoxesBags&manufact=TACKLE%20LOGIC%20WORM%20FILE%20-%20HARD

Question
O.K., I think I made my mind up about what tackle I'll be buying tomorrow from Northern Bass Supply. I already own a bag of 6" senkos and Fat Ikas in watermelon/black flake. Also own a 1/4 oz. Booyah single colorado blade in white/charteuse. This is what I'm planning on buying tomorrow to add to my arsenal. Booyah Moontalker 1/2 oz. black/silver flake spinnerbait Cavitron 1/8 oz. red hook/gold blade black buzzbait Rat-L-Trap 1/2 oz. red zone tail chaser chrome/blue back Feathered Super Spook Jr. 1/2 oz. black shiner 4" X-Rap 7/16 oz. silver Thinking this will start me off with a good foundation which I can build upon. Will be checking this post out tomorrow just in case you guys think I'm missing something important. Thanks again for the help.

Question
Hey NBR, I was actually already planning on buying my tackle from Northern Bass Supply. If you clicked on my link from my original post, it shows my tackle box from the Northern Bass website. I live in Brentwood and it is located only 5 minutes away from my house. You are right about it being a great store. I just brought my buddy over there a few weeks ago so he could get a new rod and reel.

Question
Thanks Paul. I apreciate all the info. I'm originally from Lynn, MA. Moved up here to NH about 5 years ago. Haven't fished for 6+ years until last week. Think I'm going to be having a lot of fun this year exploring different NH lakes. Beats the ponds I fished as a kid. I just wish I had a boat!

Question
Wow!!!!! You guys are awesome. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Not only did you guys answer my question, but you answered it more thoroughly than I ever would have imagined. This has to be the best forum on the net. So Paul, how do you know so much about NH fishing? I actually have a second spool. Came with my Pflueger Supreme 8035MG. When would you recomend using 12lb instead of 8lb? And would I be better off having one spooled with 6lb instead of 8lb? I actually have 1 more question. Usually I attach whatever bait I'm using to an interlock swivel so I can switch to new baits easily. I was wondering what you guy's thoughts were on using swivels. Are there certain bait types that are negatively affected by being attached to a swivel or is it OK to pretty much use them with everything?

evening and night fishing
Thanks for the advice guys. Getting some new tackle tomorrow. Probably gonna go with a black spinnerbait and a black buzzbait based on your recomendations. So Wagn, where are you going fishing at midnight? You live on a lake or something? I'm usually up way past midnight and would love to do some fishing late night. But my friends have more normal schedules and are asleep by 12. And I would feel weird walking through the woods alone at midnight to fish (from Boston).

Question
Hey Paul, I have a Fenwick HMG 6'6" MF rod that has a lure range 0f 1/4-3/4 oz. lures and has a line rating of 6-15. I have it spooled with Trilene XL 8lb. test. I'm from MA and haven't done much fishing up here in NH yet but your guess about small clear natural lakes with a mix of rock, mud and weeds is probably right on. It explains the 1st lake I've been to very well. I already have some 5" senkos, fat Ikas, and a 1/4 oz. white/chartruese spinner bait. Looking to expand my tackle with a good variety of lures.
