  1. Does anyone have experience with this reel? I need a left handed crankbait reel. I will use this crankbait on custom rod ( st croix 3C70MHM blank) for all my cranking.
  2. I am looking for a crankbait reel. I wanted a curado e5, but I use left-handed reels. It will be my only crankbait reel, so I want a reel that can handle small and big crankbaits. I was looking at the revo winch, but I have heard it casts smaller crankbaits poorly. Is the Bass Pro Shops® Pro Qualifier 5.2:1 a good option? Does anyone have any experience with that reel?
  3. The main forage here is shad. I would like to know what shad imitating soft plastics you recommend. I need to know the lures and the rigs (fish are usually deep here)
  4. What TI wire are you using??
  5. I'm in!
  6. jerkbaits... I just cant catch a bass with them.
  7. There are no crayfish where I fish and gladly bass hit jigs anyway.
  8. It depends more on the rod than the reel. I can go down to 1/10oz.

  10. Might be a little stiff.. The lure rating for that blank is: 3/16oz. - 1/2oz.... Thanks a lot David. What SC blank would you use for it?
  11. Why do you say there are no comparisons? Are the SC so much better? Do you have any experience with the 3C66MLF? Is it good for the application intended?
  12. Does anyone know this blank? Does it cast 1/4oz spinerbaits/buzzbaits well? What MHX blank could I use for this application?
  13. I have never tried to catch them on beds, however the best time to catch them is late spring to early fall. Let me know if you have any luck.
  14. How do you fish it??
  15. Cast it close to the shore and reel it back in the slowest speed possible. Rooster tail vibric is very good too. When the tilapias are eating cicadas, headon tiny torpedo (crome or black) is very good; however you need to tune it. Take the original tremble hooks off, and replace then for # 8 using 1 split ring in the front and 2 in the back. Cast it to the shore and fish if almost still, using the rod tip to move it (you need to make it look like a bug on the surface). You may need to adjust the propeller to make it spin better. The advantage of using the tiny torpedo is that you catch bigger fish. Tilapia caught on Tiny torpedo
  16. I fish tilapia frequently. My go to lure is 1/16oz white panther martin spinner.
  17. Clear water, standing timber and rocks. Have anyone tried out seaguar abrazx?
  18. What line do you use as leader when fishing with braid? I tried the trilene 100% FC and did not like it.
  19. Does anyone have any information about the Humminbird® 728? Is it better to get a unit with gps than getting a better fishfinder?
  20. What fishfinder has the best value under $300?? Thanks!
  21. I need a new rod for shallow crankbaits. What do you guys recommend? I am thinking about getting is custom built, so I need a blank indication. I will use lures between 1/4 and 1/2oz.
  22. What do you think about the St Croix Avid Crankbait Rods? How do they compare to the competition? Would the AVC66MM handle 1/8oz crankbaits well?
  23. There are a couple reservoirs in Brazil which the bass have defective tails. It is very hard to catch a fish with a normal tail. Nobody knows what causes this for sure here.
