ok guys i just baught a quantum energy PT reel ok so now i need a right right? ive been browsing through basspro.com and heres whats in my price range... have you tried out the gamkatsu Extra wide gap off set shank hook in 5/0? i use these for my 6" lizards in 3/0 or 2/0.... just got one of my 4/0's out and it measures 2 1/8 inches long... thats from the top of the eye let to the bottom part of the bend in the hook... mabe this will help Alex

X2 even been fishing the morning before the front gets there and its like 10 fish swarm to any thing that hits the water.... its awsome lol Alex

i think accuracy just comes with thowing the line out and reeling it in.. as you begin to thorw more andmore and more the accuracy just pops out of no where and your throwing into 5 gallon buckets 35 yards away.... i say just take just a weight of mabe 3/4oz. and just tell her to thorw it in the back yard... once she can thorw it well without you having to be right there watching her every move she will pick up on the accuracy.... this is how i taught my girlfriend to throw a spinning reel... it was also a 6' MH fast action rod with a KVD signature series reel... shes gotten pretty decent now lol.... im proud to say ive passed the fishing enjoyment on to someone else.... also once she can cast worth 2 flips theyre great fishing buddies.... only turn back... females talk alot, and guys dont as they fish... it was my impression the lower priced ones had glass lenses and the 3$300+/- had the 580/cr-39?? i wasnt going to pay that so maybe thats why i didnt read any more into it.... Sorry for the false report, i do apologize... Alex

i would reccommend you buy this reel its regular $190 but is on sell for $120 plus quantum has a $50 rebate on them so you end up getting a $190 reel for $70 bucks... cant beat that with a stick... i dont know what rod im going to pair it up with yet... i couldnt pass this reel up... ive been looking for a bad review on it all day and havent found one yet... lol Alex

bass pro does have them i saw them at the one in atlanta ga friday afternoon... i picked mine up in albany ga at sporting goods store... i didnt liek it very much... and it claims its the slowest my arkie is slower... Alex

well orange is my favorite color and im always admired those carot stix but thats definately out of my price range for now lol.... and as for ebay, ive been burned a few times and ebay did nothing for me so i will never use them again.... Alex

well ive never caught a fish on the $7 cavitron buzz bait, i have caught countless fish on the arkie buzz bait that costs me $4 at walmart... I dont believe its the slowest liek the advertise, i believe my arkies are much slower.... the cavitron doesnt sqeek nearly as much as the arkies... the arkies glow in the dark and use "mirror glow" technologies... the arkies are very well constructed.... they come in chratuse and white... cheak them out at walmart... they also come with a video to watch thats very informative for some that dont use the buzz bait often... Not all Costa models use glass. not all do, but most do... i still perfer the oakleys fit, finish, and quality... Alex

i had to have prescription so i got my optomistrist to order me some oakley monsterdog's with black iridium lenses havent gotten them yet but i found that coasta del mar use real glass lenses and well i didnt want somthing to hit them and put pieces of glass in my eye ball.. after hours upon hours upon hours of reading on the different makers i decided on the oakleys... youd be shocked at what i had to pay for these things.. but oh well... and also i know alot of people perfer the oakleys opposed to the maui jems, ray ban, and costa del mars... i will go $175 max for the combo but dont really want to spend that much but im willing to pay for good equipment... perferibly a quantum reel and open to suggestions on the rod... i will wait a few weeks before i make my purchase just to see what other suggestions are out there... 8-) Alex
