well ive never caught a fish on the $7 cavitron buzz bait, i have caught countless fish on the arkie buzz bait that costs me $4 at walmart... I dont believe its the slowest liek the advertise, i believe my arkies are much slower.... the cavitron doesnt sqeek nearly as much as the arkies... the arkies glow in the dark and use "mirror glow" technologies... the arkies are very well constructed.... they come in chratuse and white... cheak them out at walmart... they also come with a video to watch thats very informative for some that dont use the buzz bait often... i have 2 bps rods... they are both bionic blade 6' MH spinning rods... baught them both on sell for 65 bucks a piece... I love their rods, it is light weight to me and they are sensative enough for me to carolina rig with them... i guess everyones opinions are different... i love the BPS line of rods... Alex

well i have found one bad thing about these buy one get one feel rods.... no MH in a 6'0 spinning.... oh well gonna try a 6'6".... Alex

ok so out with the bass pro rod, im buying the acadeasport rods... the F series... going to buy the casting and get a free spinning to try out... lol plus its cheaper for 2 of the acadea's than it is for one bass pro rod... Alex

So do you have one of these reels in gold by chance? lol and so i think im going to get that rod in 6'10" MH or 7'0"... but i will read up on the acadeasport rods for a little while... i just wanna make sure its not some gaudy flashy gold thats ugly LMAO... but for 60 bucks i dont guess i could go wrong on it... Ok guys lets hear what good decent set up for a beginner to casting reels/rods... ive never thown a baitcaster in my life and i want to learn how.. ive always used spinning gear... whats a good set up i can buy rod/reel/line that wont break the bank acct. but it's reliable and i can use it as my skills mature? i dont really like long rods but im open to suggestions... i also believe in quantum produts never had one complaint out of any of them ive ever owned... but open for suggestions on any brand... lol yeah im guessing your a dawg fan too huh? lol ive read alot about the shape of the braid flat,oval and round... i fiured the round would be bast, and the P-line makes the 4 layer braid thats round... So im going to give that a try if i dont liek it ill try out another flourocarbon with a low memory formula or somthing... and yes i fish alot of cover logs grass and what not in old farm ponds which is my specialty.... havent got the hang of fishing big waters yet, lanier, allatoona, west point... etc... lol Alex

i have a quantum array($35) on a diawa triforce 6" one piece med/heavy rod($20) using 10 lb cajun line mono.... i would highly reccommend a one piece rod..... i like this setup more then my 200 combo... lol Alex

i always thought that the line capacity for baitcasters is for mono line... so if you use braided line on there you can use a much heavier tensil strength but using the same diameter as the mono line... Alex

All star makes a good rod.... my self cant afford that kind of expensivness... so i use the rods that bass pro shops puts their name on... whom ever makes them i liek them alot... also are less than 100 bucks... Alex

yeah bill dance is the one that makes em i saw em yesterday at bass pro... its like a plastic soft rubbery mesh and gives to the weight of the fish... theyre 49.99 i think it was.... Alex

Hey everyone first post here... im sure its been discussed a million times.... but i want to try some good new line.. The set up.. a Keven Van Dam signature series reel on a bass pro shops bionic blade 6 foot Medium Hevay rod.. I currently use Cajun Line 8lb, i love the stuff virtually no memory at all but i hate how it fades after just one day on the the lake... it is a premium mono line... I usually only fish small farm ponds but do sometimes fish big waters... i just switched to 10lb of the same line today... i use alot of soft bates mainly zoom 6" lizards.... So my question is whats the best line i can change to to use for my type of fishing? thanks in advance guys Alex
