I LOVE my Johnny Morris signature baitcaster. YES, they DO repair and service their products--(UNLIKE CABELAS)-- I would Give the reel a 10!!! You can't go wrong with Shimano.

We all know it is not how much the anglers get, it is how much revenue they can generate for the sponsor that matters. How about a 30 second spot on the superbowl? There has to be the hope of a payback for the companies or it won't happen. It just boils down to spending money to make money. For me it seems to be--spend money to go fishing. 8-)

After seeing Redlinerroberts receipe I realized a need to jazz up my cooking so I am looking for new receipes for fish and hushpuppies. Having always purchased mixes, I am ready to crank it up a notch with some home brewed stuff. If you have a favorite receipe, share it with us for a taste test.

It is interesting that congress is tying to make certain gun ownership unlawful, they made drugs illegal and they should see that a certain element of society are not going to honor the law. Would it not be a better investment in time and resources to enforce the already in place harsher sentences for committing a crime with a gun? The tide has turned as it appears certain gun ownership will be a thing of the past. We will just have more time to fish.

Versus is the old Outdoor Channel and you should have it on most packages--look for it --it is a good channel. 8-)

I fish Rainey Lake every year. We caught LOTS of big Pike and a 53" Musky that went over 50lbs. Over 100 bronzebacks with myPB of 5.5lbs. RW--want to go? We will take my boat and I will drive.

Muddy--- I know for a fact the BPS has an inhouse reel repair facility and they will service their house brand as well as other brands. Your BPS reel will have a long life with service and repair. 8-)

How did you handle the financially lean years when no one knew you and sponsors were difficult to compete for?

I now have a Curado and Calais so I won't have the problem with Shimano. Enough of the rant. I will lick my financial wounds and buy 2 more Calais and off to the new fishing season I go. 8-)

It is official, Cabelas will not repair their reels or have a repair facility to work on them. I called the facility Cabelas gave me (after the third call) and they said they could not repair Cabelas reels "as Cabelas was not forthcoming with parts." I suppose I will use the reels until they break and make an artificial reef with them. So much for Cabelas customer Service. PLEASE BE AWARE--When you get something from Cabelas you take it like you take your wife--it is yours for better or worse.

I have located a Loomis MBR783 Slate rod. It appears that it is a blank that the guy built the rod on. He claims it is like an IMX. Does onyone have info on this?? Thanks 8-)

Thanks for the info. It will not be a bronzeback in my rod locker! It looks like an IMX or another GLX. BassResource.com is the best --- 8-)

I was looking at purchasing a G. Loomis Bronzeback rod. I don't know if I would be better with the Bronzeback or an IMX. I have 2 GLX rods and need one more rod for smallies. What is the prevailing opinion?

I already talked to reelmech and he does not work on them either. It appears I am about stuck with disposable Cabelas $100 reels. :-[

Thanks for the info. The reels are silver and hold trimmed. Great reels, they just need a tune up. I will check into the sources listed and keep you posted.

I just got off the line with Cabelas as I have 2 Cabela Prodigy Baitcasters. I have used them for about 3 years and they need some attention. They are great reels but need cleaned, oiled, ect. Cabelas said "We do not work on or repair reels, even our own brand." When I asked them who was their authorized agent, they said they did not have one but there is a reel repair facility in FL. I could check with--DUH--I can not believe Cabelas will NOT stand behind their product!!! Does anyone know of a reputable repair facility to take care of the Cabelas Prodigy Baitcasters? I can see no more Cabelas products in my future!!! :-[

I am not sure about the gallons but--- If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half-- how long would it take to get a dozen eggs? 8-)

First of all they would have to be used shallow in stained to clear water as the color red is the first to go dark in the water. I use them in just that situation. Relativly shallow in stained to clear water. I prefer the red hooks when in these circumstances. 8-)

Bein a good ol' country boy, I would hate to have to give up spotlitn whales from my pickup truck. I will stay in Mo where there is no law against it. 8-)

At what point does it become harder for him to win tournaments because he is a minority? Does his boat run slower? Does fish not bit his lures because of his race? Can he not win because torunament rules say blacks arent allowed to win? And mostly does his fish get wieghed on different set of scales?
