  1. Very clean, simple design and craftsmanship. THAT is how you brace a deck and keep the weight down, excellent. 5 Thumbs
  2. Jim, see thread below http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1205548723
  3. Yea, huh?? Took ya long enough!!! : ;D Congrats man, you earned it. So,...a 9 and a 12, early in the season,....we may have a new Trophy Hunter in the making.....
  4. post count is irrelevant
  5. I was happy it did zero gill damage,...
  6. Great attitude and a great fish. I agree with 4-5 lbs, congrats on your new PB!!!
  7. Man,...got out the day before yesterday with eric and got a few more!! 35-37 water and this is blowing my mind. Today I got out with Matt 5.0 and I found another one!! I'm really kinda dumbfounded, water even dropped a few degrees since the other day. I'm not complaining, I'm just really excited to be catching where/when and how, I never have in the past. (finally,.....13,000 posts later, lmao ;D ) ICY CONDITIONS

  9. Sorry about your brother but it's great that you think of him so often and so warmly. Below is a link to a similar story. He was not my brother but still very special to me. A Mentor Passes
  10. Awesome news Tony!!!! I'm happy for you and your family,....celebration tonight!!
  11. 11'6" x 42" is a 12. It's an awesome 12, I've never seen, nor heard of one in these dimensions. Mine is a 1964, back when they made stuff to be bulletproof. It is an extra deep, xtra wide model but still only has a 39" width across the floor. Mine is an odd size and many 1236 owners are amazed at what a couple extra inches does for you. Do you know the brand name? Do you have a serial #? Wayne, a 10hp on a 1-' jon is somthin I gotta see, can you email me too? (ps, on photobucket, you have to rename the pic after you save it for some reason. If you use original name, it will link to original upload for some reason. I resize, rename, and post, just a suggestion )
  12. Thanks Mav, great answers. I'll look into wolf grip next time I replace my decks. About the "directional" aspect of the carpeting, Mav is talking about the weave or the 4-way/2-way stretch aspects of carpet. I'm going to add to that and keep in mind which way your lines are running when you lay it all out. You don't want all the lines running different ways. Side to side or front to back. If a small boat, front to back makes it look longer
  13. Yes, his is a lonestar and it was in bad shape when he got it. He also made a stencil of the original lonestar decal for his restore, nice touch. There is a club out there for Lonestar owners BTW
  14. Don't worry about it as long as it is stapled on the back side. I replace my decks every 3 yrs or so, we get wear spots in certain areas and for $30 in carpet, I just make new ones. The wood lasts alot longer than the carpet so you'll just deal with an extra 20 lbs of water in the wood or so,....really not a big deal. Erics floors are not urethaned and they are due for new carpet this yr, I doubt he'll bother with the urethane again. Mine are done so that's that but I won't be bothering with urethaning them next yr when I replace the carpet. We also use a very cheap 3/8 cdx. $15 to replace the whole thing.
  15. I didn't see this yesterday,....... Hope all went well for you guys. What color are the cigar wrappers BB????
  16. This is very true. At the Classic, virtually every pro and company exec knew of BassResource.com, and admitted to coming here often. They don't register often, but they do read what's here. I won't reveal their names, but some of the pros came up to us during the Classic to say something about a post that was made earlier in the day. I got the feeling they wanted to keep their privacy, otherwise I would mention names, but also don't want to come off as some site owner trying to sound "cool" by name dropping - like some other sites do. : I respect their privacy and boundaries.
  17. So Dom, did you get your fridge back?? ;D Way to go, keeping that tradition going ya mook.
  18. We're going to try. Last yr we intended to get a day in fishing together and also possibly cover a CAST event, but we both had pretty thick schedules and we just never got it together. This year, we'll make a better effort and pull this off. I think we could throw together a pretty interesting show.
  19. My family is spread all over the country this Easter. I've avoided a "first born" for 40 yrs so far so that's out but if you want company, I'm in.
  20. Funny. Hawg called me on the way to the lake, ....looking for a little confidence and spewing his excitement about having open water. I told him I got 2 the other day,...this means ANYONE can catch one now, lol. I'm guessing confidence won't be an issue this coming weekend, lol. WAY TO STICK 'EM HAWG!!!
  21. Napa,Autozone...any place like that. Called "edge guard" for doors
  22. If I get out tomorrow, I'll get you a quick pic. MATT 5.0 has a pic of the hole and trim edging but after that, you would reach up inside the bench seat (after digging out the foam that's in there) and get the nut/washer onto the bolt sticking through. (Times however many bolts you have, 5, 7, 9...)(My pedestals have 6 I think) MATT???? pic?
