  1. it's only a matter of time!! Hang tough, keep at 'em.
  2. Jeepers, all these great points. I never report the "not so active" days. For each video I make, there are hours between high points that are back to back on film. Today I caught 4. The 2 days bfore that, I caught 1 each day. My partner slammed them, gofigure but just saying. Sometimes when its 2 weeks before I put up another video, watch that video and realize that those could be the high points from 10-14 days worth of fishing. Then again, we don't record the dinks so we can have a 20+ fish day and never rolll film because, like gman said, everyone likes a good story.
  3. Use search option on this one, some real in-depth articles in the archives
  4. Another point I'd like to add, along the lines of Jim's thinking is that you only suck if you don't learn anything. An old friend of mine (passed away sea captain) always chanted and preached that EVERY FISH TELLS YOU SOMTHING! Even the ones you didn't catch. You learn from them too whether it's where the fish aren't or what they aren't willing to bite. These mental notes are part of the process that leads you to figure things out. To find "the angle" as an angler if you will. Time, attention, patience and recall.
  5. Great response so far folks! KU- Take your time, I'll give it a week or two before I actually start building the video. [move]KEEP 'EM COMING!![/move]
  6. Great job Avid, thank you and WELCOME BACK IN THE GAME!!!! Enad- absolutely not,....ice fishing pics will only add even more mojo as those fish took more effort to catch!!!
  7. I know exactly what you are talking about and was in no way thinking you were bragging. My comment was to show that it is very possible, but I am spoiled and in a place where as Gwelcome said, the fish are there, ....and so am I. Even at that, your numbers are better but you have double the yrs on water so this all makes alot of sense.
  8. lol,..I swear,....I thought those batts were good, and it was only once! But either way, stay tuned,...don't touch that dial! My front seat is open to any member, any time I'm not suggesting that you were aiming these comments at me at all,...just saying....come this fall, we'll put somthing together on film, I promise! What I'd love to do is road trip this fall and get footage of some of the real pro's here. I'd like to hit Gwelcome when I see my parents in Fla for example, and get some footage of other folks that I know we'd all like to see in action. My skinny azz is getting repetitve, lol.
  9. A couple folks got lost in the shuffle with the last one, if you PM me with a pic, please post a reply "pm sent" so I can cross check and make sure I got each one that was sent. Fatboy-got it NEbassman-got it Thanks
  10. Low Budget Bend Baby! I'm on the map!!!
  11. Yes, pics need to be hosted by an on-line site i.e. photobucket.com, kodak.com ,etc to send in PM.
  12. A good size chunk of C4 plastique will cover more area
  13. Blue gill will definately work. Fluke is a soft jerkbait used texas rigged.
  14. OK folks, approaching another 100 members since our last members video. Any new members, we make a video every 1000 members to commemorate our growth and your involvment. Please send a pic or videoclip of yourself to be added in a collective video to my PM box. Pics should be decent size, higher resolution if possible. This is the 5000 member video for an idea of what we do. Anyone who wishes to submit pic but has already been in one, that's fine. I will be needing fill. No promises, if I get enough from the newer ranks, I won't need it but just in case, feel free to send 'em along!
  15. Same here, we hit it usually between 3-3:30a in the summer months. Time changes with sunrise time as season goes on. That's why I've been up since 4 even though I'm not fishing till noon, body clock still wants to be out there for 3:30.
  16. All depends which boat you end up with. There is a manufacturers tag on every boat. Has max hp printed right on it
  17. The rentals we used in Fork were Express 17's. Boats performed very well. Had evinrude 40's, a bit underpowered. Not a big lakes boat though, in good wind (20mph), we had to stay off the main lake. I notice the express is used as a rental alot. This is a good sign. I used to own a moped rental business, I chose the bikes I had for 1 reason,....durability. just a little more input for you. Good luck.
  18. Depends how good you are with your hands. Nothing major involved if that's the question. Telestar makes complete systems and parts to build your own (steering parts) biggest concern would be the weight added. I wouldn't bother if boat is under 16 ft. personally but it's definately do-able if you have basic skills and tools.
  19. Denny and any Lindner For saltwater Jose wejebe The Dolph Brothers Team Gallatti
  20. Now there's an umbrella we can ALL stand under!!
  21. This is a better description of how I fish. When I say "same as during the day" I guess I am reffering more towards baits. Plastics, jigs, I use them everywhere, shallow and deep depending on what I'm doing and where. LIke the flats, same flat who's deep edges I'll fish in dawn and dusk hours, I will venture up onto at night, but same flat. Great point about sound, your ears are your best friend at night and you'll be amazed at how much you are using that 1 sense. When the sun comes up, you are sooo dialed in.
  22. With numbers like that, you're either reeeeeel good or you're 110!! I happen to have fished the same beautifully protected slice of heaven for 18+ yrs. and can't come anywhere near those! Man... Jim-PM sent, side question
  23. Absolutely! Access to plentiful water is key.
  24. Go Craw..........Great post.
  25. Now THIS is why I love video. This gives me a great idea, perhaps when they school up again in the fall, I can do a short video on power fishing-numbers. If it's so so,.I can add to it in the spring or do a seprate one then. I've been getting lots of video ideas lately,...
