  1. It sounds like you need a bait that can handle the moss AND be a good "search" bait=spinnerbait
  2. Glenn,....of course I do, but it has to be big enough to need a leash, lol.
  3. Well, my part is done but I'm still waiting on a few outside resources. Soon enough though, by next week anyway.
  4. I've fished from a 12 ft jon for over 20 yrs. We fish a 292 acre lake with it primarily. No better way to do it, no gas allowed. If there is no need for considerable travel, I highly recommend them, besides, it's not the car, it's the driver
  5. Oh man Matt, thanks for the suggestion, that thing is awesome. Let the woman at work know how far her advice went for me, love it. Thanks again.
  6. Making the Charlie Moore video I learned how to use windows movie maker. I made a 3 minute clip from this years video/pics. Takes a minute to run, enjoy. http://www.zippyvideos.com/2036610772177846/lbhproductions/
  7. I got $5 says it's line on the shaft
  8. Not sure if you are the person that emailed me but if you are, sorry I didn't reply, my inbox is messed up, won't let me reply. I have a 55 on a heavy 12 ft jon and it pushes it fine. I am upping it to the 82 but only because I'm just greedy and want to be able to cover more water on each trip
  9. I'm curious too if you ever get the picsc rollin'
  10. pro box deliverer-12 yrs ;D
  11. Another excerpt from "the book of Chris." My primary honey hole is the clearest water in the state, clarity to 18-20ft, so I especially like this one. I think we have such success with a finesse jig in this water due to it's size and profile. I need to try throwing tubes in there more though. Not just because of the last writting from "the book of Chris", but just because it fits in so many places, especially pertaining to clear water. I only use them for bedding bass but next year I will be throwing them a bit more. Thanks again for yet another quality post, I like it when you're up late
  12. OH MAN!! :) I wouldn't want to be on the boat it ends up on when that karma comes back around. It sounds like you have a good attitude and should be up and running soon but ,geez, that's such a bummer. Did you at least get out w/ the trolling motor and catch a few? Hang tight, some good prop guys on here, don't buy till you get replies if possible.
  13. I have eaten maybe 10 bass in my life. Gut hooks, every one of them. My partner I fish with now likes them more than I do so he has kept any bass we've accidently killed in the last couple years. Either way, if he/she dies in a battle I started, the least I can do is show respect and not let it go to waste.
  14. Phool- There are lots of guys here on the board from Fla. including guides like acstech. Someones GOT to be able to set you straight or at least give you some good durable company.
  15. Good luck this weekend! Catch 'em up!
  16. "Nobody likes Chris" That dude even catches the leaves man,.......ain't nothin' he can't stick..............
  17. Illinois- That's what it's all about for me man! I love fishing with new people. You either learn or teach and I love both. Kids + women Two of my favorite "teach" situations. Sometimes I won't even fish. I really get alot of happiness out of bringing fishing to others. Perhaps I just want more people to understand me.
  18. Brad, Welcome to the forum. Last month I wrote an article (more of a list) on exactly this topic. Pull up this link and "print page" and it will all be right there for you to carry around as you prepare. http://bassresource.com/fishing/boating_checklist.html Lots of useful info in the banner above. Start with "fishing articles" Hope you enjoy the site and CATCH 'EM UP!
  19. roadwarrior, my buddy would say the same thing!! His name is Eric, (A.K.A. Dirk_Jigl-lure) But then there's Kev Vin Bob Nathan etc
  20. But you were doing it right. Sweeping, like a crankbait with a little more of a "pop" after you feel the weight.
  21. I'm with Will on this one. Especially this time of year. Super-fluke and really let it drop deep once in awhile.
