Fly wetters?
Anyone else fly fish here? I was taught and honed at a freshwater private club for a few years in the late 90's and now it's a staple for bluefishing and striper hunting on my boats. Anyone else?

HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK THIS BOAT IS WORTH?
I agree with madhouse but I would start at $500 and explain that you don't mean to insult the buyer and for the age, the stuff looks good but it's still almost 40yrs old. I would go as high as $700. Good luck!

Jet Skis & Ski Boats! What A Nuisance!
I know this is a sore topic for many fisherman but I still have to take the side that says they are entitled to use the water just as much as we are. Etiquette is etiquette whether it's another fisherman or a jet ski,. I firmly believe that most of the people who cross the line simply don't know they are messing us all up. I choose to educate them and ask if they could show some consideraton in the future now that they've been educated. NOT DEFENDING JERKS HERE! A jerk is a jerk, but for instances like roadwarrior had, just goes to show that it all washes in the end.

Bumblebee boats?
well in my low budget world, $8500 sure is real "money"!! I agonize when budgeting out $500 for a restore job! Good luck in your hunt and I think you will find that the longer you look and the pickier you are, the better your outcome will be. Good luck hunting!

gear in a motor guide trolling motor
These guys will have it if you are still having problems. I've used them twice with no regrets so far. I needed a speed control switch once and an old style prop and shear pin once. http://www.trollingmotorparts.com/ Use exploded diagrams on left to find part and number to order, just click on your make, year, and then model for the exploded diagram. Good luck.

Question about Bass Fishing Ethics
The signs are posted for a reason, I would let the authorities know that people have been observed ducking the fence and fishing in the posted areas but not necessarily tell on him.

G-day
welcome aboard, do you have any pics of the local species you speak of?

Fish tagging
yea, I didn't think about the legal aspects. I'm definately looking into it though.

Fish tagging
The few different tagging sites explain how and where to tag the fish. Doesn't seem very evasive and we've caught stripers with tags as old as 7 yrs. I want to research it more, for example, I found a company that lets you pick what's printed on the tag but minimum orders might be large I'm thinking (email sent). If I had some that just said,"research fish\do not harvest", and a #, then maybe I can split the cost with some of you guys or a couple local clubs maybe to place an order. We'll see Glenn, contact local legislator, some ideas are born to be laws. ;D

Bumblebee boats?
Are they still in production?

Fish tagging
Anybody tag their fish? Kevthebassman left this link in another post. I think I'm going to give it a try I've fished the same place for 20 yrs and would love the data you could get from tagging. Plus maybe, if someone catches a 4 or 5 and it has a tag in it, they will let it go. We need tags that say "please release" and a serial number. http://www.fishunlimited.org/ProgramsTagging.shtml

Spinnerbaits
Depending on where you are geographically also, what are the bass doing this time of year. What they are doing here in New England, I'm sure, is much different than Georgia. If they are staging deeper, roll deep, etc. For instance, right now up here, fish are sitting on the deeper ends of all points, primary and secondary, and tight to wood that sits in the 10-15 ft range so I would deep roll banks that are near wood in that depth or out deep on the points as opposed to throwing in the weeds along the shore.

data on bass familiarilty with lures
I think it would be more of the fact that RW touched on. "Closed environment" are the key words. I fish a 292 acre private impoundment which I'm sure holds bass in the thousands. I suppose if all the fish have an opportunity to hit the same bait repeatedly, they may shy eventually. Totally not knockin' nick's observations, just adding another opinion to the equation.
