Rat vs. rat
No promises Paul, I had to cut last nights trip short. After about 30 casts, the hand was screaming. Looks like I'm down and out for a bit but I would definitely like to send a rat up with you guys. Any chance you'll be near my part of town before you go again? If so, let me know and we can meet up. The minute I'm good, it's my turn.

Rat vs. rat
Don't be fooled folks, and if I ever am able to come to market with something like these, remember that BLOOD , sweat and tears went into bringing this stuff public, lol Key tip. Remember to feed the belt sander. If you forget, it may just feed itself and take a nice bite out of you! ;D Those 5 pounders will be EARNED tonight,lol,....that's my rod holding hand.... :

The "eyes" have it
Your an excellent resource dude. Thanks. The only eyes I ever used for tying were dumbbells. I looked at A.C. Moore, a craft store, they only had the hollow stick ons that have the eyeball that is separate and bounces all over the inside. Not gonna do it. Hobbytown, next stop. Any others? anything online?

Rat vs. rat
Similar construction, but the mini is almost twice as long and 2/3 as narrow

Using o-rings or split rings with wacky rigged senkos
Dad always said, when it comes to a design flaw, "eliminate, don't compensate" Try a brand that doesn't tear so quickly

Rat vs. rat
I hope so,....here's the kicker,....the bait you see me holding,....is the "mini" ;D :-X Key element to the mini is the tricked out graphics. The back gets NO LESS and NO MORE than 3 passes with a cheap spray can,....black. Belly gets one distance pass, .....just to break the brown of the wood, lol. Viola,....RAT (catalogue color code B052) ;D

Rat vs. rat
yup, last night I used proto-types 13, 15 and 16. Can't tell you how much I've learned about "shape" and hydrodynamics. Everything came together last night. The answers showed themselves so to speak. Now I'm ready to get creative and let my imagination go, my specialty. game on

What dremel tool should I get?
x3 The brand named Dremel has helped shape products since they first came out, reliable and strong. Duct tape just keeps everything going longer, lol. Either way,...both are a must in the house. caution. these are addictive, the more adapters and bits and accessories you buy,...the wider the scope of things you can butcher build

General "Bill" priciples
Wondering about toying with different bill shapes to make different types of wakes. In Big M's thread w/ his 7" swimbait, he comments about the width affecting how exaggerated the side to side action is. Larger= wider wobble? Anyone ever play with alternative shapes to help push more or less water? Other than the width? How about bills that are convex or concave,...anyone ever play with stuff like that? (gotchya thinking now, eh? hehe)

The "eyes" have it
where to for eyes guys? Looking for lrg, glass or solid plastic preferably, nothing hollow. I have access to the sourcing dept. at a jewelry design house and I have some sick ones on some of these proto types but I like the "cat" looking ones on a slammer also. Where to? Thanks in advance

Rat vs. rat
Out last night running a couple of proto-type wake baits, very similar to a slammer,....but different, lol Below is the Rat version. What was this guy thinking? Oh yea,....YES, they work!! Very slow bite but I did get 2 fish on the rat and 1 on a perch version. Very satisfying catching on something that was a dowel the day before, lol.

Call it what you will but I call it JUSTICE!
-Many of his injuries happened during the ORIGINAL apprehension. BEFORE he took a leap out a 3 story window (which only made him prettier) -Procedure was broken-firearm in interrogation. Trust me, he paid for his mistake with a bullet to the chest. He won't do that again. -The spit guard was put on at the dept of corrections where he had a confrontation with a guard and did indeed attempt to spit and BITE another officer.

13 year old angler gets Pro Staff position
Tell me it's not Airrus (e21)...... Be careful FFD, many pro-staff positions these days are merely another sales ploy to suck in the kids who crave a name on their back. Be very weary. The above name is a perfect example. They PUSH a big pro-staff which essentially is a "sale" The "pro-staffers get 20% off,.......sticky and tricky and certainly not a true pro staff position as they were once known. St Croix on the other hand,......they don't mess around. They will outfit the jr angler with a "pkg" of rods, a full sweep of technique specific stuff BUT.....they expect a lot in return, as a real pro-staff position should. They are allowing you a foot in the door, a chance to prove yourself to other potential sponsors. A recommendation from them after completing a yr on the pro staff will actually get you somewhere, it has a value. The company above, quite the opposite, you will be viewed as an easy mark. 2 very different worlds,.....same title. Just be wary, that's all I'm saying.
