  1. Sounds like a solid plan. What I have noticed about night fishi though is if you catch a good one, slow and and fish that area very thoroughly. A Big worm is hard to beat. I've sat on one small grassbed in 15' of water for 4 hours and only got 5 bites, but they were all over 6lbs. Be patient.
  2. Glad you found it Catt. We fished a company tournament yesterday. Had 50 boats and sadly, we came in 7th with 11.4lbs. 15lbs won. The daytime bite has been tough lately. We caught plenty of fish, but the big girls just won't bite in the day very much right now. We caught 20-25 fish in 20-24' on big worms and jigs.
  3. I'd throw a frog all day
  4. Glad y'all made it through the storm safely. I haven't been on Toledo in a couple of weeks, I brought a group of boys on their senior trip to Guntersville last week and we caught 350 bass over 5 days. Ledge fishing Toledo and ledge fishing Guntersville is two completely different worlds lol. But I'll be back on Toledo Friday prefishing for a company tournament on Saturday. I'll report back when I get home. I'm hearing of some pretty good topwater action going on right now.
  5. Yea we would have been in the top 100, but wouldn't have got a check lol. It's rough out there right now. Last year every school of fish bit, this year your lucky to catch 1 or 2 out of a school.
  6. It's as tough as I've ever seen it right now. Out of 244 teams yesterday, it only took 14lbs to get a check. Only 4 bags over 20lbs. We had 12lbs or so, didn't weigh as we knew it wasn't enough. Never got a big bite all day. The worst part is I'm pretty sure I found the winning school, but I couldn't make them fire up. Missed one on a jig first cast and caught a 2.5lber out of them then that was it. And by what I saw on my graph, I'd be willing to bet there was 30lbs swimming around down there.
  7. I was there Friday and Saturday too prefish is hung for Basschamps next weekend. I didn't do much fishing, I mainly idled and looked for fish. They did bite a lot better Friday though. It was hard to fish with the wind, but they bite a lot better in wind than when it gets slick like it was Saturday. 18-22ft seems to be my sweet spot out there. I throw cranks and big worms and jigs to look for a big bite, but a dropshot and a Ned rig will catch them. I caught about 30 Friday and 20 Saturday. Mostly on a dropshot and spoon.
  8. I'm pretty sure I know that bridge. Those are bass, and they have been there for months now. Dropshot and an under spin will typically get bit there, but today was tough. It only took 11lbs to get a check in the BFL.
  9. I fished the Children's Miracle network tournament Saturday. Came in 9th with 18lbs. I think they had just under 150 boats. I'm finding lots of deep fish but they are hard to get to bite. Friday I had over 20lbs in 4 hours cranking but I couldn't make them eat a crankbait saturday.
  10. We caught around 25 this morning. Nothing big, but I'm just keeping some kids on fish for fun. I'll be here until Saturday. Looking forward to looking around some new areas.
  11. Sorry for the late report, but I fished Thursday. Caught 16 fish biggest 5 probably 18lbs. Finding more fish deep now, but they are hard to get to bite. I'll be back out there tomorrow afternoon through saturday.
  12. A lot of Hartmans fish have come from mill creek.
  13. They all seem to be shallow
  14. According to those numbers Strike King, the lake has produced more 10lb+ fish this year than in 2015, when it was originally ranked number 1. Last year was not a normal year.
  15. I've got a 736 glass that I love for chatterbaits
  16. Didn't catch as many big ones today, but still had 2 over 8lbs with some 3- 4s mixed in.
  17. KC log cabin has always been my favorite
  18. The Magnum Rage bug is awesome on a swinghead ?
  19. Had 30lbs today and my dad had 14lbs in our club tournament. Our best 5 combined was 33lbs. I had 3 fish between 7- 10lbs jump off. My big fish i caught was 9.5lbs. Lots of tournaments coming up, but I'd be willing to share some info with y'all by pm if you want it.
  20. Not Toledo, but I was on Rayburn yesterday and there were 50 bags over 20lbs weighed in and 3 over 30lbs.
  21. I use lakemaster. It has boat lanes on it, but it won't work in Lowrance.
  22. I've used just about every brand rod looking for the perfect fb jig rod and Carolina rig rod. For a Carolina rig, a Powell max3d 775 is as good as you'll find in that price range. It handles 1/2 oz to 1 oz rigs perfectly.
  23. It's low, but you should be fine back there. The fish are shallow!
  24. Go north and flip bushes
  25. If the water starts rising, you better follow it up. Those fish love new water!
