Submerged Road Beds
I know on Fork the easiest way to find a road bed would be to find a place that has a straight path with stumps on both sides. It looks just like a road. I caught a 8lb 4oz off of a road bed over there this spring.

Powell Max
I own the rod mentioned and it definatly fishes like a H/F rod, not a MH/MF. The Endurance series rods are a little more stout tho. My 714C has a faster tip than the 704C.

New Rod Advice
Heck yea man...Cabelas got some good sales right now. I think they still have the Dobyns Champions for less than $200. Pair the Champion with a Curado and youll be set.

Cumara

New Rod Advice
It isnt crazy that you have a $200 reel paired with a $100 reel, but it is not the most sufficient combo you can buy with $300. A reel is more fun to play with and IMO gives the angler more joy. The rod actually does the work (feeling the bite, loading up, casting), but is often overlooked. You would be better off with a $200 rod and a $100 reel. As for a $100 rod, I would seriously consider the Carbonlite. I have one and it is one sweet rod. Light, durable, sensitive, what more could you ask for? Also, if you loved the Premier enough to cry over, you may just get another one.

Cumara
Is that the Reaction Series or just the regular Cumara? Im not sure if I need reaction series or regular for the mentioned applications.

Cumara
I am looking to upgrade my spinnerbait rod. Right now Im using a Vendetta 6'9" MH/F and it doubles for spinnerbaits and some topwaters. I found some good deals on Cumara's, but Im not sure which one would be best for these applications. I can either get the 6'8" M/XF for $139.99 or the Reaction series 6'9" M/XF or MH/XF for $159.99. Which rod would you buy and why? Edit: Also just found a new Avid 6'6" M/F for $106.99.

Mono Vs Fluoro
It will also get a crankbait to dive a little deeper than Mono because it sinks.
-
Powell Endurance Fliping Series
I would still opt for the 7'6" MH. You can never have enough power IMO, and that rod shouldnt be a broomstick.

Experienced Parents...little Help?
Kids have been spanked since the beginning of time and we are all still here. Matter a fact, kids werent depressed, ADD, and ADHD junk until spankings were frowned upon. Red, I would ask him what the problem is. Then I would just continue to punish him everytime he does it. You cant let him win. As long as at the end of the day, he knows you love him and want what best for him.

Those Of You Who Have Crankbait Rods.....
A M/F rod will do for cranks, but I find that a M/M seems to get a better hookup % and it keeps em buttoned. I feel a Fast action doesnt let the fish suck the bait down as deep as the Moderate action, therefore a short striking fish is less likely to get hooked up with a Fast action rod. For topwaters I rather a M/F because I can see the fish explode on the chug bug and I can control when I set the hook, but with a crankbait that is 8 ft underwater, I rather the rod allow the fish to swallow the bait before I set the hook. As for jerkbaits, a H/M rod is really good. Enough backbone to make the lure do anything you want, but forgiving enough for the trebles.

Those Of You Who Have Crankbait Rods.....
I couldnt live without my CB rod, but then again, I catch 500+ CB fish a year. I use my M/M for medium divers and occasionally a jerkbaik and I use my H/M for deep crankin and traps.
