  1. Usually around $15.00 for me.
  2. They sent me an email saying that the XT1000 was not in stock and they had to get it from Shimano and it will be shipped on the 17th. It was shipped on the 17th and delivered today and we missed it. They also didn't send me any tracking info. I sent them an email last night wanting to know if the order had been shipped and if it hasn't just go ahead and cancel my order but it had already been shipped on the 17th.
  3. You got lucky! Why don't you do a search on finesse and you will find out that you got lucky! You can also do a Google Search for BFS Rod or BFS Reel. That's 'Bait Finesse System'. There is a reason that guys buy a Daiwa Pixy, Aldebaran BFS or the other reels made for BFS and spools for their reels that are not already setup for throwing lightweight lures. And then there are the casting rods that are made for throwing lightweight lures. I am using a Shimano XT1000 with a Yumeya BFS Spool and with 10# Power Pro and a 2 Power Loomis, I am throwing a weightless Trick Worm over 20 yards. I am pretty happy with that and my rod isn't even the right rod for the job. So if you assume that finesse means spinning, you are wrong!
  4. Around here, your assumption that it is spinning is wrong.
  5. I can't wait to see a pic of that Maryland Snook.
  6. I am sure that it also played a part in the pass instead of run decision that Pete Carroll made in the Super Bowl. LMAO
  7. Kinda surprised to read this with all of the Global Warming going on. LOL
  8. X2 - Japan Lure Shop At that price, I am going to buy another XT1000 right after I post this. $167.24 shipped for a NIB XT1000 is too good of a deal to pass up. To the original poster, this was my fourth purchase from Japan Lure Shop and the previous three went smooth with no problems.
  9. Thanks Screw that! Over $400.00 at TW and under $300.00 at Digitaka. I know where I will be buying mine. LOL
  10. Are these coming out at the end of Feb or in March sometime? I agree, the Aldebaran looks bad ass except for the knob caps.
  11. I use the same rod as Maico 1, (I bought it because of his recommendation) but I now have a Curado 50E mounted on it.
  12. I believe that out of the box, the XT1000 is a better reel than a CU50E. According to Japan Tackle, XT stands for Xtra Tune. It is smoother, has better spool bearings and aluminum knob caps.
  13. John G replied to I.rar's topic in Gun Forum
I have been carrying a Glock 19 for years! It is light, thin, 15 + 1 and IMHO, the AK of pistols. All Glocks are the AK's of pistols but the 19 is perfect in every way.
  14. I have not seen a holster that does not rub the finish on a gun.
  15. There are waaaay to many older IMX's out there for sale for me to even consider a newer IMX.
  16. A famous man once said, my reel should seen and not heard! I agree with that statement and IMHO, you should stick with your cleaned and lightly oiled stock bearings vs loud ceramics.
  17. If you have grass covered Flats where you are, rent a kayak and get off the bank.
  18. But how far can u cast that weight with your heavy spool CT100 and your Crucial? I am getting a little over 20 yards casting an unweighted Trick Worm with a Shimano Scorpion XT-1000 w/a Yumeya BFS spool, a Loomis MBR782 and 10# Power Pro. IMHO, a full spool on a stock 50 Shimano is still too heavy for casting really light lures.
  19. You are right! I didn't even think about the different braking system.
  20. I'm hoping the 32mm Yumeya Spool fits in the new Aldebaran.
  21. Inshore fishing for me has always been Specs, Silver Trout, Spanish Mackeral, Ladyfish, Pompano, Bonnethead and Blacktip Sharks, Baby Grouper, Pinfish etc etc. When I had a boat, I only had one time when a fish was stripping line off of my reel and my line broke because of floating grass. I always used Penn Spinning Reels. I still have the Penns but when I get a boat, and hopefully it's this summer, I will be using a MBR843/Scorpion XT1500-7 for jigs, MBR783/XT1000 for smaller swimbaits and a MBR782/XT1000 for unweighted Flukes and top water. I have recently been casting 10# Power Pro on one of my XT1000's so I don't see where line capacity will be an issue.
