I haven't used the lures yet but the quality is definitely top notch. When you see the lures in person, especially the skirts you will know what I'm talking about.

I know they work. My brother and another guy I know were doing very well with them. I tried them for a bit had a fish on and never went back to it. They work though.

I'm in Chicago as well so I feel your pain guys. Where do you guys usually fish?

I will be fishing Big-G for the first time this upcoming Sat and Sun. I've heard the fishing has been slow though. I will be driving 9 hours to get there so I'm just hoping I do alright.

I've never actually replaced skirts before. Do you need a special tool to do it right? Any online instructions on how to do it?

Do you guts fish the pop max the same as the smaller splashers?

The first time I used it I caught a bass on the sabertail. No idea why I stopped using it after that? I'm definitely going to focus on using it again this spring.

In one of the shows I was watching, I believe it was hook-n-look they mentioned that Erie is the warmest of all the great lakes. I was just reading an article by biologists out of Lake Michigan and they mentioned that Lake Michigan is too cold to produce 6lb smallies because the fish tend to die before they get that size. Just interesting information. Illinois' record Smallmouth is still at 6lb 7oz.

Does Guntersville have Florida strain Largemouth or Northern strain?

XCalibur XR50's and LC LV500MAX. Both have been my top performers out here.

The Bass Pros Strike King Journal Roland Martin Angling Edge Bass Edge Are the ones I mostly watch among some other ones.

I agree. I won't buy them again because they stink too much.

So Erie is better than Lake St Claire?

Yeah, I've heard Lake Michigan has done very well lately. And to think I'm actually walking distance from it. Unfortunately, I don't know any guides for Lake Michigan and don't have a boat yet to get the most out of that lake. I wish I did.

How are you going to use them? Dropshot, or t-rig?

I know Erie has been really hot with Smallies just wondering of the two which one is considered the best smallie lake, or is there another lake which is better than both?

I've had the most success with two of them. Lucky Craft LV-500 Max and XCalibur XR50.

Judging by the pics they don't look that bad.

Lake Fork Tackle magic shad is just like the Imakatsu ones. Good quality too.
