Which would it be?

Rat-L-Trap

They're cheap, they catch fish, and come in about every color and size you need.   Also, you can beat 'em off rocks all day long.  Hard to tear up.

I have a 'Trap or two, and I have a handful of Rapala's I got cheap last fall. Not knocking the Rapala's, they seem to work fine, but I think if I had pick one brand, I would go with the original's. I don't see any "improvements" made to it by other company's, only their "version" of it.

Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap ½ oz

Color: RT820 Red Chrome

RT820.jpg

1/2 oz Cordell Spot, chrome/blk back.

3\4 oz Xacalibur  in Royal Red

Spro Arucu Shad75 or jr. in Wild Shiner or Black/Gold

Hadn't thrown cranks of any kind much before last December. Had a couple of "Traps" in my box, then the sales manager at the Stratos Dealership recommended the Arucu Shad. It's been good to me for the last two months. Sure it's a few $ more that the RT but fore me the diff is worth it. At least for now

Rattlin Rapala, I've had alot of success with them. I have a bunch of Rat-L-Traps, and have had very little success with them.

I did pick-up an X-Calibur Xr50, and a couple Strike King Red Eye Shads to try this season.

Falcon

Every year at a fishing flea market,  I purchase some Sugar Shads.  These aren't the ones that Luhr Jenson sells.  These are the originals that were left over from when Luhr Jenson purchased the rights to the Sugar Shad.  Pro fisherman Bernie Shultz is at this flea market with his wife every year.  The story is that his wife is the daughter of the guy that sold the lures to Luhr Jenson.    Any way,  Original Sugar Shads in gold / black back.

Yo-Zuri Rattl'n Vibe

+1   8-)

But I also like the Lucky Craft LV-300 & LV-Max500.

Rat-l-trap

But I use Rat-l-trap,Rattlin rap or Berklet Frenzy ratt'ler....I dont know why ,maybe the differant sound frequency but sometime 1 will out-fish the others

I've had the most success with two of them. Lucky Craft LV-500 Max and XCalibur XR50.

FWIW.....Rat-L-Trap is not the "original".....the Cordell Super Spot predates it.

I own at least 20 different kinds of vibes from both inexpensive (Cordell, Bill Lewis, Rapala, etc.) to high-end (Shimano, Daiwa, Ever Green, LC, Jackall, CLU, etc...)....and it's amazing how different the characteristics of each one are - - some are more specialized than others, and really excel in certain conditions.

That said, if I were only given 1 single vibe to fish in any/all conditions, it would be the Cordell Super Spot.
