  1. Freezing temps and yet catching them in 5'. Can't tell you how many people think you can't catch 'em shallow in the winter! WTG!
  2. How do you know that wasn't me?
  3. It's easy to overfill this reel. Carefully check to see if the line is rubbing up against the thumbar. Usually pulling off about 20yds of line will do the trick.
  4. Most problems people have with baitcasters can be attributed to two things: 1. Setting them up properly 2. Casting techniques Here are two videos that explain both: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/cast-adjust-baitcast.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/accuracy-baitcast.html Hope that helps!
  5. ^^ Agreed! ^^ Again, happy Dallas won. It benefited the Hawks. No sour grapes regarding the Dallas win over the Hawks during the regular season. It was insignificant. Hawks still came out the #1 seed. You don't have to like what I said. It's no sweat off my back. I'm just regurgitating the swirl heard around the NFL today. So it's nothing personal, and nobody should take that way either.
  6. Hours of reading enjoyment below: http://www.bassresource.com/fish-facts/ http://www.bassresource.com/lake-management/ Have fun!
  7. Old news or not, that, combined with the favorable calls (or no-calls) during the game plus the Cowboy's surprising winning streak heading into the post-season calls into question their entire season. And just to iterate, I'm glad they won b/c I'm looking forward to next week's Hawk/Panthers game. But the integrity of the Cowboys organization and the NFL is now in question. That said, it's all moot, b/c Greenbay is going to feast on Romo next week.
  8. And another call that favored Dallas.... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/04/dez-bryant-could-have-been-flagged-for-unsportsmanlike-conduct/
  9. Umm....maybe you want to take a look at this.... Report: NFL VP of Officiating seen on Jerry Jones' party bus Oh, and Jerry Jones is on the competition committee, which decides rules and points of emphasis every year. This is a major, major deal. I'm sure there's A LOT more to come on this.
  10. First off, I was hoping Dallas would win because I wanted the Panthers to come to the Klink (they don't stand a chance!). However, I would've liked to see the outcome if the refs hadn't paved the way for Dallas. I have doubt Dallas would've won. Some very serious bad calls (or "non-calls") that affected the outcome of the game occurred. Unacceptable during the playoffs. Let's hope for a more fair match between GB and D. Bring on the Panthers! Here kitty kitty kitty!
  11. Don't forget Seattle also played SD and KC, plus their bye week occurred very early in the season - they've played 12 straight weeks without a break, and yet they're playing better now than they were at the beginning of the year when they waxed Green Bay and Denver. Despite a schedule much tougher than last year, their record is nearly identical to last year (12-4 vs. 13-3).
  12. Thanks guys! I appreciate the warm wishes and kind words.
  13. After years and years of Dallas not making the playoffs, you're complaining about the seeding? It doesn't matter anyway. Romo will choke on the first round. He always does. And as mentioned, Dallas had a powder-puff schedule, while Seattle had the toughest in the entire NFL. The seeding is correct.
  14. Ok guys, this trips into the gray area of our "no politics" rule, plus there are posts containing copyrighted information (another rule violation), so I'm going to end it here. And scene.

We take it a step further - ALL calls are answered by our answering machine. If it's somebody we know, they'll start to leave a message, and we'll pick up. Telemarketers and scammers hang up before the beep.
  16. So the road to the Superbowl goes through Seattle. ...again. 5-1 in their division. Can't blame luck on it this time.
  17. Properly maintained and used, it can last a lifetime. I have a buddy who still uses the original 1989 Mariner engine on his boat, and it runs great. The key is routine maintenance.
  18. It's worked just fine. I use very, very sharp hooks, so hooksets aren't an issue for me with this rods. But I don't think it would be an issue even if your hooks aren't super sharp.
  19. It means "total limit", and you're correct, you won't be able to upload any more pictures until you delete some old ones. To do that, click your name in the upper right, then "settings", then "manage attachments". There, you'll be able to remove old attachments and make some room for more.
  20. RW beat me to it, but that's my review he linked to. I've since used that rod for a variety of setups and applications (jigs, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, creature baits, etc.). It's worked well in all of them, and it's become one of my go-to rods now.
  21. I'm not a fan of either team, but it seemed a few game-changing questionable calls went the Bengals way.
  22. Welcome home!
