  8. BassResource needs your help. We are looking for several volunteers to be an important part of our staff. You will be helping out with a venture we are planning to launch in the near future, without taking up much of your time. If you are willing, please respond to this thread. We will then screen each volunteer and choose which ones will best fit the job. Thanks, BassResource
  9. They said the same thing about Marshawn Lynch and Mike Williams. They're not saying that anymore.

I've used a ton of different scents over the decades (anyone remember Sparkle Scales?). I honestly wasn't impressed with any of them. But I gotta admit, JJ's and Megastrike are deadly. Seems I get more aggressive strikes with JJ's, and fish definitely hold on longer with Megastrike. I use both all the time now.
  11. How quickly they forget the embarrassing defeat Seattle handed to them in the playoffs a few short months ago.

Here ya go! http://www.bassresource.com/fish/tube-baits.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/tubes_bass.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/tubes.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/tube_jigs.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/gitzits_bass.html Regarding the dates of the post - a tube is a tube is a tube. The tactics don't become obsolete because the calendar year flips. Don't limit yourself because the date of a post is "old".
  13. The Seahawks have a much stronger team this year than last. Barring any injuries, the 2010 NFC champs should take the division yet again. I wouldn't expect them to make it to the SB this year, however. Their O-line and receiving corp is arguably the best they've had since their superbowl appearance in 2005. So if TJ falls short, he has nobody to blame but himself. Whitehurst has shown he's a solid QB, so I have no problems subbing him in if TJ doesn't make the grade. That said, they still need a higher caliber QB if they want to make it to the SB again. Although improving, their defense is their weakest link - especially their secondary. Their defensive line was #2 against the run at one point last season before injuries set in, so hopefully they will be as good this year. But I don't see their pass defense getting any better, and they were terrible last year. Really their best defense is their offense. Hopefully their offense can keep their defense off the field longer this year with less 3-and-outs than last year. Overall, the staff has made some really stellar draft picks and signings. The team is really looking promising and has a bright future ahead of them. That said, this is only the 2nd year into a total overhaul of the team - both on the field and off. So I wouldn't expect them to gain any accolades or SB rings just yet. Expect them to win the division again, but lose in the 3rd round of playoffs.
  14. Market is up 200 points this morning. So much for all the naysayers.
  15. I'd be buying stock in the next day or two. You will NEVER do well in the stock market if you only play when it's "safe".
  16. Do y'all know what last weekend was? Wait for it.... Wait for it..... Waaaaaaaaaiiiitttt for it......... It was the LAST non-football weekend until 2012!
  17. Yep, I'd say thermocline too.
  18. Sorry to see that...we have no way of knowing what donations were sent to that organization (RCBC), or how much, by who, anything like that. Anything that came to Tackle The Storm got a personal shout out on all the social medias plus each were sent a personal email explaining that as soon as Tackle The Storm got the non-profit statues, they would get the information they need to take it off their taxes. I can forward this to a contact at that organization (RCBC )...it's actually just a group of guys who just run things by the seat of their pants and normally only get contributions from their neighbors or church members so I'm pretty sure they have nothing in place to respond. But anything that was donated to Tackle The Storm Foundation got several both very public, and private, note of thanks.

  20. Naw, I'm not much of a Mariner - or baseball - fan. My sister and brother-in-law, on the other hand, are diehard M's fans. But yes, I'm looking forward to football season!
  21. Joplin, MO - 415 young anglers who lost everything to the tornado, showed up yesterday, and while we couldn't give them everything back, we could give them back the magic wand of childhood...a fishing pole. Doesn't sound like much...a fishing pole...a bunch of fishing stuff...but for a child who loves to fish, but lost all of the ability to do so, now, at least, they can escape to the peace of a pond, the bank of a river, the gentle rocking of a boat, and for just awhile, escape all the destruction and sadness around them. Thank you to all of you who have given these children back just a little slice of normal life amidst the chaos. To the children of Joplin, please know, all of this was given to you by people from all over the world who care about you. Who want you to know that every storm in life will someday pass, and that the world is still filled with magic wands...and love. 25. My favorite bait/color/technique is the one the bass are biting the day I'm on the water!
