What's the biggest bass you ever caught
9.1 pound largemouth 5 lb 12 oz smallmouth Both caught in '07 Maybe someday I'll join the double-digit club. Those are some nice fish! Funny though, I remember my first "big fish". I caught it during a tournament. It was a beast in my eyes, and quite a battle. It weighed all of 3 lbs 10 oz. Funny how your perspective changes. Like fish Chris. A 10-pounder to him isn't worth mentioning. Watch him post a teener here. :

Did you have another hobby besides fishing?
I used to play Whirlyball - a lot. Was on a national championship team. If you don't know what it is, don't ask. It's kinda weird, actually. I also was into boomerangs for awhile. Even competed in them. I still own 14 'rangs. Haven't thrown them in years, tho. Ya, I'm a dork. On the "cool" side, I was a licensed pyrotechnician for 6 years. I shot professional fireworks displays. Used to do 30-40 shows a year. The most famous would be the Space Needle on New Years, and Ala Moana (Hawaii) for the 4th of July (did several of each). I say this was a hobby because the pay was.... well, it wasn't enough to live off of, that's for sure. I did it 'on the side' while still doing my regular job. You can't beat the sound of a crowd of a million+ people screaming/cheering at the end of a finale - and it's for YOU. What a rush!

I'm Having problems! GLENN!!
You guys are too funny! ;D Sorry, you're getting a glimpse into my world now. Sometimes I forget who's reading this. I fish year round, and compete in 7-10 tournaments a year, but I've been doing "Web stuff" for 12 years. Basically, I'm a techno geek bass fisherman. 8-) Bottom line: the problems should disappear after Sunday. If not, then try the cache trick mentioned above. If the problems still persist after that, then let me know.

best trolling motor battery
A/C Delco maintenance free marine deep-cycle battery. Size 27 at a minimum. I'd go with size 30. I have 4 of them in my boat. I have plenty of power at the end of a long day against current and strong wind. Never had a failure.

You're wrong Burley. It can take up to 72 hrs for DNS to propagate through the internet. In the interim, you may hit switches that have the new DNS, and hit others that don't - particularly proxy servers. So it's likely it would be hit-or-miss, depending on how your query was routed.

That's a brilliant suggestion! I didn't think about that, but moving to a new server did, in fact, change the IP and therefore, the DNS. Great suggestion! To get to the command prompt, click "run" in your WindowsXP start menu, then type in the word "command" and hit enter.

I appreciate the responses, but I really need much more information if possible. Please include the following: Browser & version (example: IE5) If you were trying to access from home or work. What anti-virus program you have, and version (example: Norton 360 2007) What time you tried to access, including time zone. When you were able to access (assuming it's from the same location, browser, etc.) Whether you're on cable, DSL, dial-up, or work. what error message you saw (exact words would be helpful) How often this happens to you and if so, is it always at the same time of day? Thanks!

I'm Having problems! GLENN!!
That's weird. I don't have any clue that would cause that, as those hours don't coincide with anything on the site or server. Can you reach other sites during those times? If so, are they slow? What browser/OS are you using? Anybody else having this issue?

3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
We will be with a guide on Monday, and I believe we're going out with RW on Tuesday. And Gene is being very generous and is loaning his boat to us for the rest of the week. It always amazes me the generousity of our members. You'd think I'd get used to it by now, but I'm not. You guys are incredible!!

3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Keri and I arrive in Birmingham airport @ 4:00pm Sunday. So we'll be there sometime Sunday evening. Leaving Birmingham at 11:30am on Friday. We would have flown to Atlanta, but it was a longer flight and $400 more expensive.

Yes. I have the same setup and you can hear it. Mine is pretty steady, however. But it's not perfect intervals. It has a beat, but you can't dance to it.

Do kids really look like thes on the east coast? Guidos?
Ya, well... youth. I look back at some of my high school/college pictures and I look pretty dorky back then. Picture Miami Vice, Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink crashing into a herd of break dancing Flock of Seagulls. Come to think of it.... it kinda looks like those guys! LOL

Subpar Bowl XLII
I'd like to see the Giants win - if only to see the NFC take the championship. The NFC made big improvements this year, while the AFC's dominance weakened. An NFC superbowl championship would validate that the NFC is back in contention. As for the Seahawks, Holmgren is staying another season, which means another divisional championship and another trip to the playoffs (that's 6 in a row). Maybe this time they'll make it to the superbowl and win it. I understand the Pats fan thing, believe me. The 'Hawks are ALWAYS rated as the underdog, despite winning so much (although this season they faltered a little compared to recent past). 3+ decades of no respect gets old really fast. Holmgren is already making changes in the offense (he fired his line coach last week). So expect an improved offense next year. Combine that with their scary-fast defense and you've got a superbowl-calibur team. Plus, I'm sure Holmgren wants to end his career on a high note, so there's a strong incentive.
