  4. I don't beleive in Spanking kids, if I did IKE WOULD GET IT FIRST Hey Gone Fishing how does it feel to have the Mets hand you guys the wild card. The Brewers should cut them in on the playoff money! "If you don't have the best horse you can't win the race">Uncle Tony and the Mets don't even have the right pony!! CHOKE II the SEQUEL at your ball parks this week :-/
  5. That picture is from the Lake Fork BassResource.com trip. Glenn hooked up his PB and realeased it at the same time LBH released his fish and that is what happened ;D
  6. Hey HOOKEM>>>> he don't get it mook
  7. Clapton is more than proficient; Just a fine , fine guitarist. But you can hear he's from the other side of the pond, I just don't get the feeling from him I get more out of one listening of TEXAS FLOOD (SRV), Live Version from the Club Morocco, than all of Claptons work put together. Favorite Clapton: Riding with the KING, the duet and Grammy winner with BB KING
  8. Better Look again: LOUIS ARMSTRONG AND THE HOT FIVE!!!!! in the Jazz selection. I didnt list them all because as I said in my post, IT WOULD BE TOO LONG.I love Buddy Guy, I played at Rosie's ( The Rose Tattoo, across from Tips) many moons ago in New Orleans and met him there, I have seen him many times and own a lot of his music.Tell you the truth I think another New Orleanian (guitarist), for me was more influential SNOOKS EAGLIN. I dont mean he is better, just influenced my playing a whole lot more. Big Boy and Fountain: Good ,taleneted musicans who seemed to get a higher status then deserved b/c of many Tonight Show appearances. This is just my personal likes and dislikes, I like some more than others. Not too many bands or Muscians I just can't tolerate>> Metallica and Phil Collins would head those lists And lets not forget from New Orelans : The Father Of Jazz Piano, one of the founding fathers himself JELLY ROLL MORTON 8-)

  14. I would love to see both your Ipods, a little Ricky Matrin is in there somewhere
  15. OOPPSSs They have a new one. I do not know this reel. I used the older Qualifier. This has the same brake as the Extreme also that joins a 6 pin centrafugal with a magnetic brake I would, and this is the last time I will say it Avoid a new model reel for 100 bucks when I can get a tried and true Trion for the same money. For another 10 to 15 bucks you can get an after market handle and customize yourself
  16. I AM SORRY BUT YOU REALLY ALL MISSED THE CHEIF OF SUCKDOM< THE ABSOLUTE MASTER OF THE BANAL : Are you ready for this PHIL COLLINS!>>>Hands Down.
  17. Hey Rooster, thats the same brake as the Extreme , just stated a different way. I have owned both reels, same brake
  18. Hey Dean: I take personal offense at the above statement. I am a LIFE LONG METS fan and we earned that distinction and once again NOOOO!!!!!!!! It goes to the Yankees
  19. JW Handy wrote BEALE ST BLUES, in Memphis: That is why the equivalent of the Grammys for Blues are called the WC HANDY awards, in his honor. Memphis was in the mix, i would say the real roots came for Lousiana, Texas and Mississippi Rock and Roll don't have a home, it's an orphan of the blues! MUDDY WATERS WROTE: " The blues had a child and they named it Rock and Roll!" I can't give that to Memphis. I would say that when stride piano playing, at the time : by PROFESSOR LONG HAIR, met with Little Richard's Screaming vocals Rock and Roll was more or less let loose Little Richard grew up watching , lavishly dressed SCREAMERS>>. Transvestite barkers for Medicine Shows, he took the Clothing and the Vocals and layered it atop of that Stride Piano sound coming out of New Orleans and the rest is history! 8-) Music City? >> What kind of music
  20. Like Cerano before me might I suggest: You Bushwick Wacker You Red Hook well Hooker You Bed Stuy Bad Guy or you Mook From Flatbush or least not forget; Coney Island Baby ( as per Lou Reed) 8-)
  21. South Brooklyn Spelling ;D
  22. Hey Catt; most most memorable years, before I met Elaine were in New Orleans . That city put me at one with my musical roots, and from a guy who lovess Brooklyn as much as I do that is saying a lot. That mix of cultures from Mississippi to the Gulf is the birth place and heartland of all my favorite forms of musci. Honorable mention to Memphis Tenn. 8-)
  23. Chuck Berry,Jimi Hendrix,Little Richard,Jerry Lee Lewis and Professor Longhiar do more than hold up! They are the ORIGINATORS OF THE ART FORM and there chord strurtures and rytyms are the basis of a lot of the "NEW MUSIC" that still follows in their path. 8-)
  24. Yea You right... pre Electric Guitar
  25. Jazz; Miles Davis Quintet John Coltrane: A Love Supreme line up Thenolius Monk- the quartet on the Blue Bird Recordings Count Basie Big Band Jazz Messengers Buddy Rich Big Band Louis Armstrong and the Hot Five Joe Pass and Oscar Peterson R&B( SOUL) Booker T and the MG's Earth Wind and Fire The Neville Brothers The Meters Sly and the Family Stone Tower of Power Dr.John Fats Domino Allan Tousiant The Isley Brothers Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen Staple Singers Wilson Picket Any thing STAX Aretha Franklin OTIS REDDING>>> THE BEST LIVE ON STAGE PERFORMER OF ALL TIMES Rock and Roll this is hard because so many were SOLO performers using regional Pick up Bands>> Little Richard Chuck Berry Jerry Lee Lewis Professor Long hair Jimi Hendrix and the Experience THE BAND Blues( also a lot of sosoists) Muddy Waters..THE ONE AND ONLY!
