From what I understand a longer rod gives you more control of a fish but a short rod has more leverage but less control of wear the fish goes. But I always here people saying that a long rod has more leveraged so im a bit confused.which is right?

I love my abu 5500 and am thinking about getting a new more sensitive medium heavy rod for it and I want something thats really sensitive and most rods that I hear are sensitive are also very light weight. but my abu is really heavy. Will the weight of the reel ruin the sensitivity in the rod?

Academy sells a 4.5 inch swimbait(the brand is h2o and they can only be bought at academy) for like 8 dollars and it works really well!

You could tie some line to the hook and tie a treble hook on the end of the line and stick the treble hook into the back of the bait so if the fish strikes short it will grab the treble hook.

What keel weighted hook would be the best for fishing a 10 inch rage tail anaconda anywhere from 8-20 feet deep?

There good baits! I went to puerto rico and caught several nice sized saltwaterfish(have no clue what they were) and on cloudy days I catch a ton of bass in the ponds I fish with xraps.

There is no ribbontail worm that has the action of the anaconda! I dont really like the spacemonkeys because where I fish the bluegills turn them into rage craws :'(

I have an ugly stick striper rod thats rated from 12-20lb line its 7"6 and medium light action. I have an abu 5500c3 on it and im about to spool it up with 10 or 12lb fluro clear line. Im going to buy a medium heavy setup for jigs, spinnerbaits, and worms and I cant get another setup for a little while and fall is on its way so if I got a deep diving crankbait rod I figure it wont even get used untill next summer.

Will you have the grubs in a 2 inch size? I cant find many good small grubs and there one of my favorite baits to fish

Ive heard a 5:1 gear ratio is more powerfull than a 7:1. I dont understand this. I heard a slower ratio acts like a wench but woudnt a faster ratio just be a faster winch lol?
