I caught a crappie on a mattlures soft gill!! It was like 3 pounds and could fit the whole thing in its mouth! The fight wasnt very fun on 25lb mono and a xh rod though. and before that I caught a giant channel cat on a bass magic 6.5 inch swimbait and today I caught my first swimbait bass. I was begining to think that swimbaits repelled bass lol.

Looking for a cheap senko spinning reel and was wondering if there were many spinning reels that have a 7:1 gear ratio?

I love little 2 inch tubes. They will catch almost anything that swims and you really cant fish them wrong. Just use a light weight jig head and go see what works!!!

Culprit makes nice 10 and 12 inch worms. I like red shad the best.

Round abus are about to be the only thing I fish. Before I got into bass fishing I was really into catfishing and owned a few 6500s and they are awsome reels. I just ordered a 5500 and have casted my uncles 4500s and they cast very nicley. Also the abu c3s sell pretty cheap, I got an almost brand new 5500c3 for 40 shipped. Alot of other people on here are more experienced and this is just my opinion.Oh and if you go with a round reel stay away from the walmart abu 5600bcx

Can I use a dremel tool to remove some of the cork of a rod to expose the blank? I realy like the look and feel of the new rod I got that has an exposed blank.

Im going to be buying some more rods this season and was wondering what lenght of rods I should get. Does it just depend on what baits and presentations im using?

I have a 7"6 fenwick rated up to 2 ounces and and abu 5500c3 in the mail and im going to spool it up and use 20lb cx. Does this sound like a good swimbait(mattlures soft gill and 6.5 inch bass magics and hopefully soon a 6 inch hudd) and flipping and pitchin setup?

Ive been using random craw trailers but mostly half a baby brush hog but I catualy caught that fish using a whole baby brush hog as a trailer with a pretty light jig.

Oops forgot to add the story with this one. Well I had been fishing for like an hour and had three bites right on the bank and every time I set the hook early because I was so anxious to catch a fish , and every time I set the hook early there would be a giant muddy spot right by the bank reminding me I missed a big one :'( So I through my jig up basically on the bank and was not paying attention when I look and my line and its moving extremely fast towards me so I reeld down as fast as I could and for like 10 seconds there was no tension and then I finally felt something! So I set the hook and caught my best jig fish so far I really need to focus more when I jig fish lol :

Thats an eastern cottonmouth rigt? There awsome snakes I just cant figure out why people have to kill ever snake they see even if there in the middle of nowhere and the snake isnt hurting anything! I enjoy herping( looking for reptiles and amphibians) as mutch or more as I do fishing and this post if making me sad lol :'(

I stay away from the clubhouse!!!!!! and be very respectfull to golfers. I also fish the evening and in the summer fish at night.
