  1. pond fishing with a 7 inch power wormand a 1/16 ounce bullet weight is my favorite way to fish! I like a culptrit 10 inch worm better than the 10 inch power worm. I think the 10 inch power worm is to thick but thats just my opinion.
  2. I know its not huge but it looks a little bigger than my other pb but im not sure how mutch it weights. Im thinking about six pounds but im not sure.
  3. I would get an abu 4500 on ebay or on the bst forums.
  4. Catfish are predators they dont just eat whatevers dead on the ground. Catfish feed on lots of the same things as bass. I caught a 10lb channel in a pond with a big soft plastic bait a few days ago and it was so mutch fun lol.
  5. I got a float tube for 10$ yesterday at a garage sale and it works great ;D Im finaly not a bank fisher lol. Ill be fishing a small lake with some realy nice bass in it. I can only bring one setup so im thinking about bringing a nice mh rod and a 6:3:1 reel. I think all I realy need is to be able to throw worms, jigs, and spinnerbaits and I think that will do it. What setup would you bring if you were in my position?
  6. My stuff didnt get thrown into the pond I was just saying that a kid got out of his truck and then threw somthing in the pond and then the next thing I know hes at his truck with my tacklebox and my ultralight.
  7. Fact: without the baitmonkey 87% of largemouth bass caught in 2008 would not have been caught.
  8. Thanks for the responses everybody. This pond that I was fishing at was hardly on the golf course at all and someone drove in from the neighborhood and not the golf course so that why i think that it was not any angry person who works at the golf course. I'M just glad I wasn't fishing with my cheap ultralight and had my swimbait/flipping and pitching combo stole. I would have freaked out lol.
  9. now thats cool! Id like to go to a big flathead catfish and do that 8-)
  10. I live in the neighborhood and My stuff was not on the golf course it was right by the pond sourrounded by houses and nobody cares if I fish there so im pretty sure I can fish there.
  11. Ok so im fishing this golfcourse pond with a mattlures bluegill swimbait. I hook a 15lb channel cat! It rips my mattlures but no biggy ill supperglue it when i get home and tie on another swimbait. I put on a 6 inch stiper bait with a 3/8 ounce jig head i throw that for a while and then hook a bass atleast 6 lbs!! what a fun day. I start making my way around the pond when I see a car drive up and someone get up walks to the pond and throws somthing in the pond then I stop paying attention to him and start fishing again then I look over and he has my tackle box and my ultralight that I had left over there for just a few minuets and he hops into his car with my tacklebox and my ultralight! My only real swimbait my mattlures was in that box. > :'( I had an awsome day of fishing and I was loving throwing that swimbait and then that idiot ruins my whole day. Oh and incase your wondering how he drove up and I was fishing on the golf course it because only a small portion of the pond touches the golfcourse and I had walked there so my stuff was kinda close to the road(Not like right on the road you would actualy have to walk down there to see it like he did) Im only 16 and I pay for my fishing stuff by cleaning the kitchen and the house and mowing(im getting a real job soon so more fishing stuff!) so know I have to save up for a new ultralight before I can buy some new swimbaits
  12. Does the D preform better or worse or does it depend on the style of fishing?
  13. Is there much of a difference? It seems like the D is a little cheaper.
  14. Ive got a few cheap baitcasters but im just not happy with them and cant spend alot of money on rods and reels for just one technique or one bait. So would a medium fast action 40$ shimano rod from academy and a shimano citica with a 6:4:1 gear ratio and 12lb cxx handle worms, jigs, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits?
  15. Its definitely a channel not a flathead and thats nice for a channel cat! Good job
  16. Jerkbaits have done well for me. and so have senkos but those will always catch some fish.
  17. Its nothing new but a jig! There an awesome bait.
  18. Putting a drop of super glue in the hole the rattle makes will probaly make it stay in better.
  19. Ive got a medium action six an a half foot falcon rod and was going to use it for crankbaits but I think the tip is just a little bit to hard. Im thinking about putting a bass pro extreme reel with a 7:1 gear ration and 10lb triline flurocarbon. Does this sound like it will get the job done for jerk bait fishing?
  20. Ive been having the same thing happen. Its a little frusturating because its cloudy/ rainy and the waters muddy so the fish are not very tight to cover but there not extremly willing to chase a bait.Ive been catching them a little on jerk baits.
  21. It looks like one of those fish has been cut in half lol
  22. About a year ago when I first got on this forum and started getting interested in bass fishing I would see people talk about being able to fish certain baits on spinning gear and I though they were talking about setups that you fish spinnerbaits with :-[ Im sure there will be some good ones ;D
  23. Vanish does exactly what the title says it does. It makes your lures vanish ;D
  24. If its clear and weedy from what I hear use Fluro. It will be easier to pull it through the weeds with less stretch and fish cant see it as easy.
  25. Oh yeah. well I caught a bass that big on a trout fly and 2lb test 8-)
