Jerkbait that thinks it's a crankbait
Recently caught my first brown trout on a pointer 65 fishing jt like a crankbait, it ran perfect even in decent current! Throwing a 15 dollar bait on 4lb test is a little scary though ?

Interesting article about livescope w/ Dobyns/Jones
Josh has bass fished his entire life, I think he was just referencing the fact that he had been big into crappie before he started focusing on bass again. Dude has been catching anything and everything that swims in Oklahoma since he was a kid.

Jerkbait Help/ Advice
I wonder if a slow sinking jerkbait would have tempted them into biting?

Standing Timber
I love spinnerbaits and jerkbaits around standing timber, caught my biggest bass that way.

Outside My Comfort Zone
How do the phat flies look? Can you take of picture of them next to something else to show the size? I keep meaning to pick some up, I’ll try to order some payday. They seem like that may be great just fished like a normal hair jig too.

Football jigs from the bank no cover or rocks
Is the water always as muddy as it looks? I would drag it all around that pinch point, if dragging doesn’t work maybe swim it a little.

Flashback mini trailers...
Tiny fluke looks incredible on it and it’s like 4 bucks for a 20 pack

DIY spin head jig
Just came across this on YouTube and thought it was really cool, I know you can also buy the blades pre made and probably save a bunch of time. I thought I was really cool the way he turned a jig hook and a split shot into a really decent looking jig.

Tiger Muskie advice
Great info guys thank you!!! I will make sure to buy a jaw spreader and net within the next few weeks, definitely don’t want to hurt the things. I want to keep it really simple so I guess I start with a large in-line spinner, my bigger jerkbaits and maybe a big spoon? Is there one more must have bait I should get? Also are you guys working baits fast/aggressively when targeting tigers? It seems like they would be more than willing to chase right?

Tiger Muskie advice
Just moved to Utah and it looks like a few lakes within a few hour drive from the city have some nice tiger musky, I plan on making atleast a few trips targeting them specifically this year. I’ve heard bigger bass lures are better than giant musky lures when it comes to tiger muskies? Can anyone recommend me some good baits and general advice? I have a bunch of pointer 100s I’m hoping those will be big enough to catch a tigers interest?

1/8 oz skirted football jig.
Woah didn’t know these existed, I think I will try turning a few of them into jigs as well.

What lure caught your largest bass in 2022 ?

Baits that work for you that others have not heard of?
Silent pointer 95, nobody talks about it but it has been one of my most productive jerkbaits, it has a wider profile than most also and is great for imitating sunfish and Shad.

Bass lures for trout
Great info guys, just discovered panther martin makes a spinner that already has a swivel built in so I’m gonna stock up on some of those! Haven’t been this excited about a new fishing adventure in a while and thankfully moving water doesn’t freeze up as easy ? Gonna grab some spro phat flies, they look good at a fair price and I bet they will be great for just about anything that swims.

Odd color topwaters/other lures
This color 78 pointer has done great for me too

Beginner BFS setup for panfish...
Sensilite is a bass rod in my opinion, I haven’t actually fished mine but I went out in the yard and could actually cast a 110 jerkbait with it as well as a small ned. I don’t have it yet but I’ve heard hundreds of people recommend the ace hawk 2 from Ali express, it’s cheap and comes with two different tip sections and people seem to love it, definitely getting one eventually.

Bass lures for trout
Jumping into the trout world and starting to assemble an arsenal of trout lures, I know jerkbaits work great for trout so I’m starting to stock up on jerkbaits and in-line spinners, I was wondering if anyone has used small underspins like the cool baits and small swimbaits like keitechs or sparks Shad’s or even the dark sleepers to target trout? I’m thinking the dark sleeper in the smaller sizes could be deadly in current as they get down quick and have a great action, are there any other bass lures you guys like to use for trout? Im also going to stock up on neds and micro finesse plastics, seems like it would be hard for them to resist those.

Short jerkbaits
Maybe it’s just the 63 size, they definitely make it though, it’s on the hookup tackle so that may be the only place it’s even really available in the US. Actually got the pointer 65 knock offs and a ton of little trout baits. Some duo 38/45 trout baits and some mega bass great hunting knock offs. It was only 50 bucks for about 25 baits and as long as they wobble when I crank them in they should work for trout, plus my fiancé loves little crankbaits but man can she break them off, crack the bill, and sometimes even just explode the whole dang bait into about 50 pieces ?

Short jerkbaits
Oh yeah I know you’re a believer in it, I was wondering about the medium runner in particular.

Short jerkbaits
Have you fished the rozante 77 MR? Just wondering if I has the same action, I know sometimes a longer lip dulls the action a bit.
-
Short jerkbaits
Really need to get some of these, just ordered a few clones off Ali express and I’m hoping they are close. Spending 16 bucks on a tiny hardbait that I will fish on 6lb test is tough for me ?

Short jerkbaits
I don’t think there is a 70 stunna yet? I would be all over it though.

Short jerkbaits
So I haven’t used it yet but the 13 fishing whipper snapper is small and gets down to that depth, a certain two YouTubers think it’s a great bait too. I’m definitely buying a few as soon as I have the extra money. The pointer 78 is my current favorite small jerkbait. The X nanahan is one that fits the description as well and again I’m very excited to try this one too, small jerkbaits are too much fun.
