Right or Left Handed Reels
I am right handed but I use a left handed retrieve BC reel. I have Carpal tunnel in both of my wrists, the right one being the worse. So it is easier on me to cast with the right and retrieve with the left and hold the rod with the right. Not as much pressure being constantly applied to my wrist this way. Later,

Cork or Foam Grips
I have decided to go with foam for my grips thanks for all the input. Thanks,

Fuji SiCs guides or Titanium SiCs guides
Down to the last decision for my new rod. Which do you guys prefer the SiCs Guides or the Titanium SiCs guides. I am going with the Loomis MB843 blank, IMX version with split foam grips, no front grip. This rod is going to be used for fishing jigs mainly. WIll be using either Yo-Zuri Hybrid line or Daiwa Samurai braid. Thanks,

Uni knot?
I use fluorocarbon leader with my braid and always use the double unit knot and have never had the knot fail. Nor have I ever had any problems with casting either. My leader is usually 2-3 feet. Later,

Need some opinions on a new Bait cast rod
A little more then you may want to spend but you might consider The Avid series by St. Croix or the Crucial series by Shimano. Both are excellent rods. Later,

Bass Pro Shops or Cabela's
I have 2 BPS stores within a 1/2hour of my house. Cabelas is nearly an hour away. I definitely will choose BPS every time. Not just because they are closer but because they have a better selection and better pricing. Cabelas does carry some stuff that BPS doesn't and I will sometimes make the trip to Cabelas when I have too. Doesn't hurt that it is right by Kansas Speedway, Dave and Busters and Famous Dave's BBQ! But I always check BPS first. Later,

Cork or Foam Grips
Wow, its pretty much split. To bad cork doesn't come in black. I guess I will keep reading replies and go to BPS and check out some rods with foam on them and see how they feel compared cork. But first let me ask one more important question, is the foam more comfortable on a long fishing trip? For those of you that have used both. Later,

Cork or Foam Grips
Cork or Foam grips? Which do you prefer and why? I am getting a custom rod made and am debating on which grips to use. Really like the looks of the black foam but have never used foam grips, only cork. Thanks,

Line Size For Topwater.
Last year I used 14lbs mono based on some local BPS employee suggestions. This year I have been trying Yo-Zuri Hybrid in 12lbs test with very good success. Later,

I need help picking out a Revo
I have the STX and from what I can tell the only difference between the SX and the STX is the handle and most noticeably the spool. So I would say that is entirely up to you. I liked the silver and the handle better. As for the braking system there is nothing wrong with the magnetic system. It can be a little tough to set and a little finicky at times. Not sure why they went with the centrifugal brakes on the winch but I know Skeet Reese opted for them on his new line of reels. But the Revos S does use centrifugal over magnetic. I have mainly fished all Shimano reels till my purchase of the STX. As of right now I am very impressed with the STX. It is smooth and the drag is awesome. Later,

spinning reel with braid?
Braid works fine on spinning reels. Most people do put down a mono backing first. I use Power Pros compression tape that they include with their line instead. Later,

Rod Upgrade: Compre vs Premier
I really like St. Croix's upgrade plan. Trade in your old rod and get the next level up and save a few bones. Later,

Just Got My Carrot Stix. And I Love It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep hearing this over and over again. That this rod is as sensitive as the more expensive Loomis rods and St. Croix rods. So I figure at $150 it is worth a try. So which one for fishing jigs? Later,

Help Using A Bass Jig
I too am learning to fish jigs for the first time this year. So far no bites no fsh and I am very frustrated! I have read the articles on here and on other forums. I got some of the new Image Jigs and Poison jigs from Gman. Got them in blue/black and black/brown/amber in 3/8oz size. I also got some Chompers 3/8oz football jigs in similar colors. I am using some Chompers skirted grubs and jig trailers and some Yum Gonzo Grubs and Twintail Grubs. In 4 and 5 inch sizes. Should I be using smaller jigs? Should I be using different trailers? If so what kind? Best way to rig a trailer to the jig? I hear super glue? But mainly do you run the hook all the way through the body or just how? Pics would be wonderful? By the way I have very little patience, so I am working on patience and fishing slowly. I am in the Kansas City, MO area and am fishing mainly some private ponds. The water levels are very good and the water is pretty stained and slightly on the muddy side. Water temps are in the 50s range, maybe a little lower. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks,
