  1. X2 and love the new one piece bail. Later,
  2. I use a 7' H/F action rod with a 7.0:1 reel with 55lbs Power Pro braid. Fishing frogs in lily pads is very fun and exciting. The thing I do is I cast the frog close to the bank and try and get it too land on a pad. Then I start kinda of moving it over openings between the pads with slight pauses when it comes off the pad and into the opening. I try working it slowly across. I use the Spro Bronzeye frogs mainly, but also use some YUM Buzz Frogs. Later,
  3. No snap or swivel for me, I tie directly to the eye and use the improved clinch knot. Later,
  4. I use the palomar exclusively with Yo-Zuri, with the occasional improved clinch knot. Later,
  5. You didn't notice any difference? Really? I have been using Yo-Zuri Hybrid for quite a while now and I find it superior to mono. Much smoother casting, very little line memory, great strength, very abrasion resistant, very little stretch etc... I would most definitely recommend this line. Later,
  6. I would not use Fluorocarbon for jerk baits or frogs. I don't like the way it pulls the nose down and the way it changes the presentation of the bait. I know others like to use it, but I don't. Later,
  7. Lots and I mean lots of good reels and rods out there. List the style reel you want spinning or bait caster and the type of fishing you mainly do and believe me you will be overwhelmed with the responses you will get. You won't go wrong with Shimano, Daiwa, Pflueger, Abu Garcia, St. Croix, etc... Later,
  8. I love the stuff and also owe it too one person on here. Initials RW ring a bell. Later,
  9. I really enjoy catching them on just one bait, a buzz bait. Nothing gets your blood pumping better then a good top water strike out of nowhere. But I also don't mind catching them on a variety of different lures either. Later,
  10. Have to try this knot out. Just use the palomar at this time, with the occasional uni knot. Later,
  11. I got some of it to try but I need the weather to cooperate. One day 70+ next day 40 and rain! Later,

Blue color usually means it is from pretty cold water. Is the water where you found it at usually very cold? Later,
  13. Let the bait monkey be your voice of reasoning in a situation like this. Can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned they are all great products and have their time and place. Later,
  14. Of the 3 listed I would go with the Shimano Crucial. Excellent customer service. I would also consider a St. Croix Avid, AVC66MHF Later,
  15. Shimano Curado 200E7 and either a St. Croix Premiere or Mojo Bass Rod. Later,
  16. I would set 2 brakes on and the spool tension knob on the loose side. Then just use your thumb for applying brake pressure to the spool. Later,

Good polarized glasses are not going to be cheap. Amber lenses are usually the best in the sunlight on the water. Later,
  18. Very sharp looking that is for sure. Later,
  19. They look to be very nice rods, but I just don't like the looks of rods without the front grip. Later,
  20. Good question, I have been considering getting one of these but was not sure if they were really worth it. Thanks,
  21. I use a St. Croix Avid 6' 6" MH/F rod. Later,
  22. I just use Shimano. That may change after I get my reels serviced by Reel mechanic. Later,
  23. I agree. Always be sure and check your line and knot after every catch and I always and I mean always check my line and knot before starting each outing. Better to be on the safe side then to loose a fish because of the knot coming undone or the line breaking. Later,
  24. With that setup you will do just fine. Later,
