  1. Nice to see I am not the only one who thinks the Blue Springs, Jacomo and Long View lakes are not that great. Have not tried Maple Leaf lake yet. A guy I work with says it is pretty good fishing. Later,
  2. Blue and black with either a blue or black trailer. Either 3/8oz or 1/2oz preferably. Later,
  3. Our local Dicks here in KC stocks it. It is hard to find. It is in with all of the catfish bait stuff. The people at our Dicks had no idea what I was talking about either. I just looked around and found it myself. Later,
  4. Both reels are awesome. They are both very smooth and very reliable. The Curado does seem to handle the lighter lures a tad better. But the Citica can be upgraded down the road to the Curado spool and bearing upgrade very easily. Guess it depends on your budget and weather or not you want the 5:0.1, or the 7:0.1 offered in the Curado or the 6:3.1 of the Citica. You cant go wrong with either one. Later,
  5. Wow, am I jealous. I am still waiting for the ice to melt around here. Later,
  6. What a battle. Well worth it though, huh? Later,
  7. Can't go wrong with a Rooster Tail, that is for sure. I also like to use a Cavitron Buzz Bait, either in white or black. Have had some luck with frogs and the Rage Tail Anaconda as well. For colors I have good luck on dark and light colored baits. As mentioned the key is to cast parallel to the bank so that your lure stays in the strike zone longer. Later,
  8. If I had to move one place based on my type of work and the quality of fishing it would be either Texas or Florida. Here great things about the lakes in these areas. Later,
  9. Some nice info here guys. I have seen KVD do this before but I have never been able to get the hang of it yet. I guess I will take some of this info and give it a try again. Thanks,
  10. Some good info guys. Thanks,
  11. Thanks for the info. Has anyone else tried this line yet? Thanks,
  12. $50 each sounds a little suspicious. Would like to know where and how he found them for such an awesome price. Later,
  13. Our local BPS carries them, but they hard to find. They sell out of them as quickly as they get them in. I have only seen them in clear and smoke color. I have not seen them in other stores for the $4.88 price that BPS has them at. Later,
  14. Whats every ones thoughts on this line? Been considering trying some fluorocarbon out. Plus with the BPS sale right now, buy 2 reels get 1 reel free, it makes it very tempting. That is for the 200yard spools. Makes it about $11 a spool instead of $16. Later,
  15. St Croix Avid AVC66MF as well. Awesome rod! Later,
  16. Just picked up some at the local BPS, got a spool of the green, didn't have the smoke color and also found an 1/8lbs spool in clear for $4.88 couldn't pass it up. Quick question RW, when you say you soak your line in KVD L&L, do you just apply with a towel as you spool it up or do you spray it on the spool isteslf as you spool it up or what is the technique you use. Thanks,
  17. Very nice info there. Will have to try this out this spring. Later,
  18. Based on some input from RW I am going to use Yo-Zuri Original Hybrid. I am using a Avid 6' 6" M/F Rod and a Shimano Curado 201E7 for my top water this year. Should be an interesting spring. Later,
  19. Ultra Soft is more manageable, but that isn't really an issue with baitcasters. Original Hybrid blends better with water so I have gone back to the original formula. For gin clear water, the green blends best; for stained water, smoke. 8-) Thanks RW, will pick up some Original Hybrid in smoke, since most the waters I fish around here are pretty stained. Thanks,
  20. Yo-Zuri hybrid or ultra soft for a bait caster? I currently have 12lbs ultra on my Curado but am getting ready to put line on my new 51MG. Thanks,
  21. Has anyone tried this line yet? It is pretty cheap for fluorocarbon. Just checking for some input before I try it. Thanks,
  22. Nope, no problem here either. Later,
  23. I love braid for all of my bait casters. I am using Power Pro 50lbs and am using the included Power Pro tape that is included with the line. Later,
  24. Yes it is. Later,
