  1. I would go with Yo-Zuri Hybrid on all of your setups. I would probably use 12lbs all the way around. You can read more on it here:Yo-Zuri Line You will not be disappointed with this line. Later,

I use a lot of his jigs. The wire tied skirts are very nice. His jigs do not have a separate jig keeper hook like some jigs do. I do not use rattles with any of my jigs. You will bot be disappointed. Later,
  3. X2 on that, awesome reel. Later,
  4. I have never had any problems hooking up with a Cavitron Buzz Bait. But I do differ on colors, I prefer white/chartreuse. I tried a trailer hook once with a Cavitron and the fish ate both hooks, talk about fun getting them out. Never again! Later,
  5. I found that a 7' rod for myself made it a little bit more difficult for twitching due to the rod tip being that much closer to the water and/or the edge of the boat. I went back to a 6' 6" and am much happier with it. As far as a good all around rod I would have to go with a St Croix Avid AVC66MF. Later,

I just started fishing jigs this year as well. I am currently using Chompers 3/8 and 1/2oz football head jigs and G-Man Jigs Image jigs in football and Poison in 3/8oz. I know some do trim their weed guards and others don't, I believe it is just a preference thing. At this time I don't trim my weed guards. Later,
  8. Would this be a good starting out Shakey Head Kit, it is by Yum. Terry Scroggins Big Show Kit Thanks,
  9. I agree the new Citica E or a older Citica D model would be a great reel to start with. Later,
  10. X2, trying out the Yo-Zuri Hybrid this year as well. Later,
  11. When re spooling I spray it on the spool and line every 15 cranks of the handle and then I will let it sit overnight. Then before I fish I will spray it the night before. Use to run the line through a cloth, but then I tried spraying in on the spool and line as spooling and it seems to me I get a much better very important first soaking of the line. Little messy but it cleans up nicely. Later,
  12. I don't care for that multi color changing chrome reel appearance. I like a nice plain simple silver or black reel. Not that it doesn't look very nice, its just not for me and the price OUCH! Later,
  13. The spinning ireel would be best for your plastics The 6.2:1 BC would be good for top water, jerk baits, jigs etc... The5.0:1 would be good for crankbaits Later,
  14. Just saw some of these and I going to have to try one out. They look very and sound very promising. Later,
  15. I like the Yum Muy and the Chompers Single Tail Grubs. Later,
  16. Their nice reels, even nicer on sale. But for the price I would look at Shimano, Daiwa, Pflueger, Garcia etc... Much better reels in my opinion. Later,
  17. Yep only during the Spring Classic and the trade in values aren't that great and it doesn't apply to Shimano. Later,
  18. Wouldn't that be down grading?lol Just kidding. Later,
  19. Really, that is the opposite of what I always heard and have been told. I was always told to match the color of the trailer to the jig. Interesting food for thought though. Later,
  20. Are you using a trailer of some type? I learned the hard way that I was using to big of a jig trailer. I was using a 5" twin tail grub and when the bass hit the lure they were only taking a small portion of the tails and not any of the jig or hook. I also presume this could be a problem with using chunks as well. Interested to here some from the more experienced jig fishers. Later,
  21. Welcome to the "Dark Side" as some would call it. You will never look back trust me! Later,

  25. Just don't eat at Dave and Busters . Hear you on that! Overpriced and not very good at all, Famous Daves BBQ on the other hand, YUMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Later,
