  1. I'm getting one soon, but so far my favorite is the Reaction Innovations, it's really good.
  2. I was really displeased at the performance of the Toads, I got them with high expectations, but they let me down big time. They almost NEVER run on the correct side. Ribbits are better.
  3. you're dead wrong, the smaller one is a dentist
  4. i kinda know what he means. my girlfriend's family has a pond on their land. while i havent gotten any 10lb, I have landed several in the 3-5. One day I went down there with one pole and an H&H spinner and caught maybe 20 or so in about an hour
  5. I think you guys should look into the Reaction Innovations dophlin buzzbait or w/e it's called. I really like it, it has a brass knob that the blade hits and makes quite a racket
  6. i've got a similar one, I was fishing, and the bass breaks off my worm. Im upset, and after like 1 min. just staring, he jumps out of the water and throws the worm at me.
  7. are the really simple soft plastic ones like the Strike King Shad-a-licious any good? how do you fish them?
  8. man, im lucky i live in LA I guess. Our record is like 15.97 or something, which isnt the biggest ever, but it beats those Wolverines up there, lol. The main thing is just that I have probably only caught like 30 or 40 bass since i started fishing again, but have gotten quite a few in the 4-6 range, so I guess that's the advantage of being down south
  9. because i didnt measure, I have two contenders. (both around the 5-6 range) 1. like a 3/4 oz. white swim jig, on an ultralight rod, lol. 2. (Same ultralight rod) Split shot rig with a huge split shot and Bass Assasin tequila sunrise (i think) worm This was before I knew anything about matching up equipment, and had a rather large and old spinning reel matched up with a like 5ft. Shakespeare ultralight rod. (And now that I have my Abu baitcaster I haven't come close to anything as big)
  10. ok, chill out, I was just messing with the guy that said snag-proof The first frog I ever had was a Bigfoot frog. It's probably the best compromise, becase it has the hollow body that floats, but with the paddle feet you can buz it across. I'd rate them like 7.5/10 Ribbits- I have used both the floaters and sinkers. The sinking ones I used a couple times were pretty good. (Gam. Superline EWG) The first batch i had hardly rolled at all. The second one rolled every once in a while. The Floaters, however, I can't hardly make them stay right side up, they were always land upside down and wouldn't turn back over, not to mention the floaters seem a lot tougher than the sinkers, causing me to miss more strikes. : : : There, was that helpful enough?
  11. Go big or go home. actually, idk,
  12. ok, so when he picks his nose it's cute, but when I do it, I get funny looks, just because im 19? ;D
  13. i LOVE buzzbaits, i like to use huge, noisy ones, and i will cast several times, but i pick my targets, so i cast like 5 times to a good looking spot then just move. I can usually tick them off so bad they strike out of annoyance, i guess, but i have gotten plenty of strikes on the 4th,5th cast to a spot, so dont stop after one And a lot of times I dont have to set the hook, they somehow set it themselves, i guess my reaction time is so slow that i just am still reeling and it hooks them, idk? :-?
  14. liar, you just took pictures of one fish from different angles, admit it. j/k, wish I could get on them like that around here
  15. bass fishing is so freaking high tech. Where is it going next? diamond pointed hooks so they never go dull?
  16. I realize I'm new, but I'm in North Louisiana and would like to try
  17. I'm in Northwest Louisiana, and would LOVE to get a chance to put some MOJO to work. I have a stocked pond to fish from, so it wouldn't take long, lol/
  18. i'll put it this way, I don't count the days I get skunked, I count the days I actually catch a bass. However, I adopted the philosophy someone else said and make sure I at least catch some sort of small bream or something
  19. I'm trying to find some fishing reports from the area to see where to go.
