  1. The catfish was nowhere near 10lb. I meant that I thought it was a ten pound bass the way it was fighting. It is probably around 5-6. The pond is so full of them it's absurd, you sit in one spot with dip bait and catch 5lb adter 5lb catfish until you get tired of it
  2. the BPS reviews of that bait aren't very good. never used it, jsut trying to help
  3. Then again he could catch one in your bathtub on a frog.
  4. I liek the looks of it, but I think I'll be going for the Tru-T for two reasons. 1. You can change the depth it runs, and I need a wakebait, lol. 2. It has a bluegill pattern
  5. I don't, but if I had one I might, just for the hell of it. They dont seem to miss it a lot though, and I guess that's because it can go so slow, idk. Anyways, throw it around cover either late in the day or earlier morning and be ready for the explosion. I got the most vicious strike of my life on the thing about two feet from the shore, almost needed to change my pants
  6. 30lb braid? ultralight? :
  7. Do they work, lol? But anyways, I'll limit it to what I acutally use most...In no particular order. 1.Cavitron/Buzzbait 2.Senkos...swim and regular 3.Big Worms (10"+) 4.Crankbait that dives to about 6 ft. 5.Colorado Blade Spinner 6.Spro Frog 7.Crawfish Imitator...either Jig and craw, or Yum crawbug type lure 8.Stanley Ribbits I could easily get by with about 5 "lures" and about 4 packs of plastics...yet I have a whole lot more than that for some reason, lol.
  8. I too have a love/hate relationship with mine. It can run really slow, and squeaks like crazy, but mine runs WAY off to the left, and it rolls over onto its side. However, the fish love them, so idk what to do. I like my favorite buzzbait is the Reaction Innovations one right now.
  9. Snow? well, there is one decent thing about living in Louisiana I guess
  10. I think he is going to live. And because you asked....
  11. she has a stocked bass pond in her backyard, I didn't know I needed another reason
  12. Well, my girlfriend lives out in the country, and they have a pond. It already had fish, but they stocked it 3 years ago with 1,000 fish, about 1/3 bass, 1/3 bluegill, 1/3 catfish. Anyways, the fishing is unbelieveable in the pond, you can catch like 30 bass in an hour just using an old H&H spinner, and you catch catfish on cranks and spinners. I caught the bass in about thirty minutes on a cavitron. The catfish I got on a plastic lizard (I thought it was like a 10lber, lol).
  13. you go fishing you idiot (it's cool, I can say that, he's my brother.)
  14. And I thought I was the only one with one pole. I hae an Abu baitcaster that is my only rig, so I've had to learn to throw some light weight stuff with it to make up. I think between the weight, hook, and lure you should be fine
  15. I hate all the people like that in this state. People get crazy about that kind ofstuff. I got a guy threaten to call the cops on me because I was walking along the shore and ended a 1ft onto a guys lot. whatever, moral of the story is that Louisiana sucks.
  16. I would def. get one. The time of day I was using them probably wasn't the best, I switched to worms and starting cleaning up, so I think any crank wouldn't have worked that well. I am going to fish this everytime I go fishing for sure.
  17. Ok, I recently won the giveaway contest for the Sebile Crankster. I decided that since Russ (bass dozer) was kind enough to give me a $15 crankbait I could at least write a review for the lure. Ok, He shipped the lure on Monday and I got it promtly on Friday, which I consider good shipping, so if that is how all of his stuff ships, I think that's great. First Impressions: Here is a pic of the lure. The color was Blue Althea. It is an exceptional looking color, and the detail is top notch. The bait did have a VERY SMALL scratch from the hooks being against the body in the package. However, this was so small I almost didn't see it. The bait's hardware is also high quality. The hooks are super sturdy, and REALLY sharp. The bill is another thing that is really well made. Very strong, I don't see this thing breaking anytime soon. All in all, out of the box it is everything someone should expect from a $15 crankbait. Fishing: The bait itself is a pretty nice size, it's not very long, but its fat body makes it seem bigger. It has a weight inside it has rattles around and makes casting it very easy, you can make this thing fly. Once it hits the water, you can crank it down to operating depth fairly quickly. The one thing I really like about this biat is how it floats back up very slowly, almost like it suspends, which is great because you can crank it next to a stump and then it sits in that spot for a long time. The bad: This is a wide-body crankbait, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to have the wobble of comparible size cranks in my box. However, even only fishing it for about 10 minutes I was able to get one fish, and had a couple or three hits that I missed. So, fish do want to eat this bait. So.... Looks/Appearance: 10/10 - awesome looking bait Performance: 8.5/10 - probably didnt fish it long enough, but wish it wobbled more Here's the one that fell for it:
  18. I HAVE COMPLETELY GIVEN UP ON RAGE TAIL TOADS. I was so put off by them that it really is stopping me from getting anything else with "Rage-Tail" printed on it, im sorry, but that's how I feel. Stanley Ribbits aren't perfect, but they are ranked way above the toads on my list. And to everyone saying to use weighted hooks: I feel like that almost defeats the purpose, because I like how light they are, so you can stop them on top of vegetation without sinking, but if you go and put weights on them, then you can't. Lol, sorry about the rant, but I was just really upset with my toads after hearing how good they were supposed to be. Maybe I will go get the shads, but probably not.
  19. I like the look of that one too. Arent they about the same price?
  20. I said it in your other thread, but I'll say it again. STOP POSTING, BASS RESOURCE WILL SURVIVE JUST FINE WITHOUT YOU MAKING 10 THREADS A DAY. Everybody is starting to not like you, and so when you do make threads, instead of being helpful, they just get ticked and reply with stuff like this, getting you nowhere.
  21. nice catch. What do you use to snag them? I have some places where I'd love to thin out the gar population.
  22. Yeah, you just say that so people have to buy like 6 of your baits. You must be friends with the bait monkey, am I right? I'm kidding man. I used to to go crappie fishing with my grandpa and he would be using blue/white and catching like crazy when my red/char. wouldnt get a hit. That made me a believer in color choices fishing.
  23. I'm with everyone else. How about you lay off of the "new topic" button for like a week. I think you will find that BassResource will still be here even though you haven't made 30 threads during the week.
  24. Are those boats ok to fish out of? Have you ever taken it to a lake that had boats going by making wakes or anything? if so, how did it handle them. Im needing to get a small boat, and was thinking about one of those. Not meaning to hijack the thread, sorry. Nice catches though man
